He’s going to be elite in the NBA because of his great confidence. Not afraid to take games over. Similar to Jalen Green and Cam Thomas. Pro sports is a mental game.

I definitely see a lot of Lavine in him. He has a very high basketball IQ (at least on the offensive end) that reminds me a little of DWade. He identifies mismatches extremely well and uses his physicality against smaller guards, and quickness against slower wings. He'll need to add a reliable 3-ball to his game, demonstrate he's around league average defensively, and be able to find his teammates when the play isn't there. If he does all that, he's an all-star 2. And none of those things sound out of reach for a guy with his size, athleticism and confidence at age 19. He's definitely in my Top 5 players after the consensus Top 5.

He's better than the stats say for sure in terms of an efficiency standpoint. As a UConn fan it was pitiful the spacing we gave him and our coach never really tried anything creative to mitigate that problem. He'd have games when he'd have to take on 3 guys just to get a look so when you see his fg% don't think he's as bad as he is. I bet in the nba with good spacing he'll shoot better there than he did in college

Yeah college spacing in general is poor but man, UConn's was a nightmare. He's really giving me the vibes of someone whose scoring will blow up in the league

That triple teaming that he got from all the other teams will give him good experience for the NBA as well because it’ll probably be easier for them to blow by people considering this time only one person will be guarding him

I love Bouknight but I did wish he passed a little more....Like I love the confidence and he usually has a trick for any type of defense but at the next level hes gonna have to learn to kick out after penetration...Hes definitely a capable passer and if he adds that to his game hes exactly what the modern NBA superstar does...Creates a shot, can hit the shot and has the ability to hit the open man....I'm not saying you're wrong as far as spacing and teammate ability, but hopefully he trusts his NBA teammates a little more

They seem a lot closer to the same player to me... Poole is an all around scoring 2 guard. So is Bouknight. They need a floor general/play initiator/facilitator/defensive spearhead on defense. There is one of those available in their range...

I'ma say this! I know everybody's talking about Jalen green right now. But you don't want to sleep on James bouknight. This boy has moves similar to him. And the Pistons might be able to get him at somewhat of a discounted rate. I'm not saying they should trade down to get him. But if the Pistons are selecting at five or six in the upcoming draft. I would select him..

Would be a great pickup. I kind of like Keon for the 7th, but guard and forward/center depth are the biggest needs I think for the team. So Bouknight would actually be a good addition to the Warriors. We actually have way too many players. Looks like Baze, Smailagic, Lee, Mulder, and Payton II, might be in the bubble. Baze really did do a good job this season, providing starts and contributing on both ends of the floor. Would hate to see him go. But where is this bench headed? We got two first round picks this season and three next year. That’s potentially 3-5 spots that have to open up in the next two years. Guess the Warriors have an Embarrassment of riches.

@@EDTheOneable honestly I wonder what some ppls idea of a playmaker is. Randle slows down the pace when the ball is in his hands, meandering dwn court acting like he’s setting up a play. He doesn’t advance the ball when he gets the ball off a rebound or inbound pass. And he only truly passes to Bullock 🤷🏾♂️ or attempts to drop a pass underneath to Nerlen No hands Noel 🤣. But I agree, he would be a huge get for my 🧡💙

@@bronxroots6668 The Knicks dont have a PG yet so you cant really judge Randle. He did tons for the playmaking on the Knicks out of necessity and ended up being elite at it for his position.

@@stevendrolet348 My point is: if he can't playmake from those situations than clearly his reads are pretty elementary. Anthony Edwards, at this point, is certainly much better, but who knows, perhaps bouknight will surpass him in that area but I doubt it.
