It's so easy to think BB King's playing is very simplistic, and easy to do. But the less notes you play, the more each note needs to be done correctly, for the right duration, and right phrasing. Make no mistake, its extremely difficult to play so little notes, and sound so good. Literally zero margin for error. Such a legend.

I have the BB King and Bobby Bland live album and this is a great taste of what is on it. Two legends bringing their distinctive styles into one show. Add JB to the mix and this is Soul Music from every important modern era. Bobby has a voice that is incomparable. BB has a tone that is deeply distinctive, and James, not a proponent of blues as much as funk on the one, still has one of the most soulful voices of all time. This is an unusual mash up, but it truly shows how much JB respected his roots. A treat to watch. These gentlemen make it look easy, sort of, but this kind of Soul Power is nothing short of dynomite!

@@marcusmobley3189 yea man. But it goes beyond our African descent. It’s something about us so-called African Americans in particular. Our lineage is “The Thing” that this World just can’t fuck with no matter what. I almost want to say it could be deeper than that fact that we are of African origin. We are different. There is just something about us that even we may not quite understand. I just wish we would collectively realize that we are touched by GOD although our trauma is evident & of course we’ve been adversely affected. We must refuse to accept what our enemy have indoctrinated many of us to believe about ourselves. We need to know that it’s all bullshit. & be bigger because we are them folks!!!
