There is a guy in Florida who owns over 3000 copies and counting of Titanic on VHS. He seems like a crazy man. Routinely just destroys Titanic which isn't on VHS, but hordes all the copies of VHS Titanic. It's wild style, but he's happy and isn't hurting anyone so that's the main thing I suppose. But you're probably the KZfaq OG of Titanic collecting bro, I'll give you that.

I will never forget watching this movie in the cinema in 1998. I was sat at the front and it was packed out!!!

WHEN I WAS A KID, I WATCHED JAMES CAMERON'S "TITANIC" ON HBO, CINAMAX, & OF COURSE, MY VHS PLAYER WHEN IT CAME OUT ON DECEMBER THE 19th, 1997.

That movie definitely was an event that stuck with people and was an important part of kids growing up in the 90s. I was around the same age you were when I first saw it. Opening night, December 19th! I went with 5 family members. I eventually saw it 5 or 6 times in the theater. I even have the Titanic popcorn bag from that night that says collide with destiny on it! Titanic ruled the 90s. It was a frenzy and I've never experienced a movie having that impact on mass culture. I can't believe it is 20 years this year! Looking back it is an important moment in time to look back on and was glad to experience it. Seeing it in 3D in the theater again in 2012 was so nostalgic and great! Some people like to knock it now, but no denying this one of the most important movies in film history. Glad to see you having so much fun! Lol

I love your passion for Titanic, and collecting memorabilia for it! You've got to get your hands on the Deluxe Collectors Edition VHS, from the UK I believe - It comes in a beautiful thick card box with the theatrical poster art on the front, then a blue velvet lining with the VHS of the film, then a separate video of the "Breaking New Ground" documentary (available on the 4-disc UK dvd release, 2005) as well as the full movie script, and a book of production notes and pictures. Oh and the 35mm film slide, and a few 8x10 production stills printed on glossy card :)

I'm not alone. I would buy every one of them. Actually I have the 2005 three disc release, 2007 two discs release, the 2012 DVD, the 2012 3D Blu-ray and The VHS plus the 2012 soundtrack and the first two soundtrack release

The UK VHS was actually just 1 tape not 2. But do remember widescreen VHS's not being that common over here. Only had 1 and I thought I was buying the full screen version. Now I know more about the difference between the two I'm glad it was widescreen. (wasn't Titanic it was the first x files movie)

I watched the whole video, lol. I have my original VHS tape that I watched relentlessly growing up. The 3 disc Collector's Edition, the standard DVD release, and the 4 disc Blu-Ray! I also have the 2012 anniversary edition of the soundtrack, that same 100 year definitive collection historical DVD, and the "James Cameron's Titanic" book (I agree, it's very awesome and I used to take it with me to kindergarten/elementary school 😂) I'm so jealous of your U.K. boxset, though! It's gorgeous. I love your passion for the film! I was hoping to hear you talk about the movie itself, why you like it so much, your favorite aspects, etc. I'm currently working on my own in-depth Titanic discussion video! So, I'm always interested in hearing other people's perspectives on the movie. It's nice to find people who care about & appreciate this masterpiece! Also, the fact that you're a dude who is THIS into Titanic is refreshing to me, haha. I hate when guys dismiss it as a "chick flick." Titanic is a movie for anyone with a pulse.

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprise if not a lot of people know what laserdiscs are. They were only in 2% of households in America. You can look up videos of "What is a Laserdisc" on KZfaq (or internet in general).

out of all of them, the 4 disc dvd is the best release of the film, even though blu ray is better but I prefer the dvd version.
