Wow. I can’t believe it, but I think I actually buy what he is saying…and for this obvious reason. I don’t hear a lot of blame here. I hear a guy who is first off “sorry”. He knows what he did was very wrong. He seems to know why, when, where and how it happened. You can’t get much more vulnerable honest, and/or be more remorseful than what he opens up to here. Good job James. I think every guy can (and women too) relate to what you’re saying at some level. Thank you. I’m sorry for those you’ve certainly hurt and it seems you’ve gone to such lengths to let them know and apologize. That’s huge. I think this admission will most truly help their recovery along with your own. You’ve admitted a wrong, done your time, and have since, put in the work…and you seem resolve that you will always keep on working…as a recovering “addict” ….well beyond “Bill Wilson” sobriety. We all have flawed, have flaws, have demons, etc…though so few of us have the courage to really look ourselves in the mirror and deal with what we may not want to see…our devil inside. I always knew that there was something not quite right with him, and that he was always doing too much and spreading himself way too thin. :( I'm glad that he's finally admitting that he has a problem and is working on his addictions and mental/emotional health.

It did seem like he was pumping out a lot of films as a director and as a result, the quality wasn't there when it could have been if he was focused on one thing at a time. He needed to ease up with the work, clearly.

In addition to being tired, though, James doesn't mention the part about all the sexual harassment that he did at this "school".

To answer the question. None of James students ever got any prominent roles in any of his films/projects. Which was the point of him starting Studio 4. Franco had opened the school after previously studying at Playhouse West in Los Angeles. In 2017, multiple female students of the school Studio 4 came forward and stated that Franco had behaved in inappropriate or sexually exploitative ways while serving as their teacher. On June 30, 2021, James Franco agreed to settle a class-action lawsuit to former students of Studio 4, for the amount of $2,235,000
