Man, I can't tell ya how cool enough it is to hear this podcast. I've been pretty much a lifelong metallica fan...I mean since I heard the song "blackened" when I was 12 and, I swear, I chucked my GnR tapes right in the trash! LOL. Not really but, they definitely didn't much play after I discovered metallica in 88. Furthermore, following Mr hetfields openness about healing and recovery has immensely blessed and helped me in my own journey!...not to mention finding a healthier way to release inner demons through their music. And finally, finding the passion of hunting a little later in life has, in a way, helped me learn some self control. It may sound weird but, I feel that most men have an inner warrior or beast that was meant to be there to protect and provide but, not without a healthy amount of self control...anyway, kind of spiritual in a way! Anyway, loved the podcast and have watched several others now. Hopefully, hear before too long, I'll save my quarters and order a rifle! LOL That is if 'tallica ain't coming to town that month! If so, yall will have to wait a couple more months! LOL

you're about to get a TON of clicks here thanks to me. I just got this interview to Blabbermouth and WEBN. It'll be blasted across radio and rock media today.

I find it really strange with all info available on internet and all, why James still thinks that they were the first big concert in ussr in 1991? There was a huge gig 2! years before that in 1989 with Cinderella, Ozzy, Crue, Jovi... Scorpions been twice before 1991 too. And there was not a million new fans, but a million OLD HUNGRY fans, which fought with access to records, getting multi-copied tapes, fought finding some merch, magazines, news. There were perfect conditions during 80s to become really hardcore fans godsizing their idols partially due to lack of access, by then. What was really undeveloped is the venue/gig security practices, maybe only for soccer matches, still not that kind of control needed. And now 30 years later, 13 Tallica gigs, meet-n-greets, snakepits, I am still a fan with my own path, the hard one which was a curse and blessing. Harder things to get are sweeter :)
