James O’Brien works out why Boris Johnson ‘forgot’ his voter ID for the local elections

Boris Johnson was initially turned away from his polling place after forgetting to bring a valid ID - despite the rule being introduced by him when he was Prime Minister.
Mr Johnson quit as PM two years ago - and ran afoul of the Elections Act 2022. The new law requires everyone who votes to produce a valid photo ID in order to cast their ballot.
Why did he forget it? Epic incompetence, epic entitlement...or epic narcissism? James O'Brien figures out why...

Strangely while Johnson deserves to carry a lot of the blame for the Tories current woes, I have actually come to dislike Sunak as much as Johnson in the last few months because of his tetchy "how dare you hold me to account" demeanor when interviewed, his disingenuous mendaciousness, and his very nasty cruel streak when pursuing policies like Rwanda and taking benefits away from mentally ill people etc.

"James O'Brien" (the phone-in radio host) says into a live microphone whatever is required by the person who gives him the bread and butter. Why do so many people misunderstand the difference between Gerrymandering and voter suppression - Gerrymandering is the drawing of electoral boundaries to favour a particular party, while voter suppression is reducing the electorate , usually to the benefit of a particular party. Voter id laws are voter suppression

Boris "forgetting" something? Seriously? As a result of his silly law, the turnout at our local polling station at our normal polling time of 8pm was amazing. A queue of about 50-60 people waiting in line. Normally only 3 or 4.
