My love was my favorite song growing up in the 60s and it still is. Paul and John both wrote beautiful love songs. I was 10 years old when the song Uncle Albert came out, brings back the best memories boy I loved that song.

Just for all the haters. This was a 1973 "family" special made for English TV (picked up by NHK), back in the days when families watched TV together. Hold that thought as you watch "Mary Had a Little Lamb" and elderly people on the street singing Beatles songs. Color TV was still relatively new and Paul threw this together on top of everything else. TV didn't have a lot of slick moves back then. Don't jump on it with your 21st Century standards! At least it was live!

I just absolutely love paul and Linda's lifestyle. Living out in the country with their kids & a bunch of animals. I hope for that kind of love with a girl someday
Paul's love of 30s dance band days. His father had a small such band & as a child he grew up with it's influences on Beatles & solo/Wings songs. From Honey Pie to many more after the break up.

Remember the specail back in 73. Love this period. 70's period of all Beatles Solo work. Paul rocking a mullet . Bowie did. Why not? Got some gems. The Mess. Long Tall Sally. Uncle Albert footage. Never seen it. So cool. Missing was the Acoustic set. Bluebird Michelle Heart of the Country. Paul can do it All. Paul can play it All. A modern day Mozart. Live and Let Die revealed for the first time. Awesome. I remember watching this as a kid. Loved it. Paul is in fine form for sure.

One of the best performances on the song "My Love". Definitely a Stellar Performance !!! Live and Let Die was also Stellar Performance by Wings !!!
What makes this such a CLASSIC is it's done "live" on a stage, just the guys and the string section ( My Love ) , no phony tape delay and other tricks of the trade. It takes Balls. This is old school and Paul's got the stones to do it !! Better now than when it was on free TV, well done.

Everyone has "the age of glory". It was a program that was watched at a good timing. Surely NHK's "Young Music Show" At that time, I telephoned the program and said, "I want to record on a radio cassette re-broadcast, I remember nostalgic things. About two years ago when Sony released Betamax. In those years all was "the age of glory".
I'm still glad I saw Paul with Wings (with this band) perform in Antwerp on august 22 in 1972. Brings back sweet memories

@@brucetowell3432 you're welcome, Bruce. This broadcast was done in 1973 especially because Paul had a deal with Sir Lew Grade, CEO of ATV ( owner of Beatles songs) who allowed Paul to collect royalties during Paul's lawsuit to disband The Beatles. Paul and Wings played live several numbers among the first Wings songs ( the Mess, my love, Live and let die...) and composed for the show a new song in the style of musicals he particulary likes.
@brucetowell3432 Жыл бұрын
@@davidr.5789 yes, Dave, I saw it back then...I had just forgotten about the show's vaudeville type number ...he wrote many great tunes during this time period 1972-1975....I remember learning "My Love" by ear rather quickly during this period...in fact my ear has a little muscle type of memory that when I need to hear an "A"...i just about get it right all the time...believe it's from the Bb Maj 7th chord at the beginning. I actually like the way they "slow down" the tempo on many of the numbers. Or maybe that's the recorded speed and when I used to play my vinyl on my record players, the speed was always a tad fast? Were you able to spring for the Vinyl box set? Hoping "BTTE" and "London Town" get their Archive release soon!! thanks God Bless!
