So it had maybe 3 hangups (unoiled, as shipped) but seemed to be breaking in smoothly after those few hangups very early. It was just not going fully into battery it seemed like to me, fired rounds were ejecting. Honestly seems like it is probably past its minor issues just with a few mags run through it so far, after cleaning and lubricating things a bit, it feels really slick and smooth now. Ergonomics are good, feels natural to me as a guy who loves AK's and who likes iron sights. Folding stock works well, locks in securely when folded out, looks fantastic... I really like it! Battle worn finish isn't bad at all, looks nice but not that much wear I didn't think. #556 #galil #jra

We used in Angolan Bush War. I were a paratrooper and have only fond memories. So reliable.

Just like any AK variation the safety is spring steel just lift the dust cover lift safety and bend out if to lose bend back

Awesome!!!! I have got to get at least a hundred yard range set up on the property out by my shop. I can't wait to get more rounds through this rifle, but shooting it at about 30-40 feet max is fun, but I'd like to do at least some 100 yard shooting on the family property. We sold our old property with 7.3 acres last year, so I lost my range I had spent a few years building, and I miss it BADLY!!! For now I'm having to use something that is really only suitable for pistols or shotgun and confirming rifles work. I can't really do any accuracy shooting out at distance, but I can do some closer in drills and do some basic sighting in on optics on a few of my rifles with the space and backstop I have now. I like that you're getting the bipod and handle, both are a nice touch, and the bipod would be really useful on this thing.

Yours is the most recent post I came across. I’ve seen an earlier video of the the top cover is not snug tight to where the rear sight wobbles at least a centimeter both ways… I’m assuming this newer rifle doesn’t have that problem…. Thank you for sharing.

No issues with rear sight movement due to cover or anything back there. Cover does feel rather tight, and it doesn't move easily, maybe if I slammed it hard against something it'd move a tad side to side, but it would take a good hit to get any movement on my example.

Just bought this rifle. My second AK variant, and perhaps the most beautiful. What are your thoughts after shooting it? Any malfunctions or mag issues?

Really like it so far, I've gotta get it back out and shoot it more, and at some distance. We sold the old property we lived on for years, and so I lost my longer distance range so I've just been plinking out behind my shop into a berm (well, into a 91 MR2 car body that I stripped, then into a berm), but at short distance. I want to step it on out and get some shots at a hundred yards and beyond when I'm able soon!!

Does your gas tube have a little wiggle? Or is it snug? Mine can move about 1/16" back and forth

Mine seems to have about that same amount of wiggle room from what I can tell. I'd estimate about the same amount, yes.

Have you had any severe issues i heard a lot of horror stories on this rifle. Im wanting to buy one as a galil is one of my dream rifles

Nothing yet, but I haven't put a ton of rounds through it yet either... needing to get a longer distance range setup out at the shop so I can do justice to a few of these rifles I picked up recently with more testing them out and putting them through their paces.

It looks like Classic Firearms website has them for a grand now but they do seem to be in stock from what I'm seeing. When I bought they were having a sale for a hundred off that price, so I got lucky and jumped on it before the price went back to normal.

Will do, honestly it feels SO much smoother now that I lubricated things properly, so I'm expecting good things moving forward out of mine, but I'll get some more rounds through it soon to verify... I need to know how reliable it is going to be moving forward for sure, and I want to let others know how my example here runs too!!

I got mine about a year, almost a year and a half ago. It’s been top notch. Occasionally a really beat up surplus mag will give it fits. Typically changing the magazine returns it to perfect function.
