Hogmanay is BBC Scotland's annual live event programme broadcast on Hogmanay, Scotland's New Year's Eve celebration. James performed on the show in 1997.
He performed "Carolina In My Mind" with Colin McFarlane (guitar), Phil Cunningham (accordion), Kevin Wilkinson (drums), Jim Prime (keys) and John Saich (bass).

This song never gets old to me. It has been my honor to have seen James in concert several times. It was magical every single time!!! I am from North Carolina, so naturally this is one of my absolute favorite songs. Thank you Mr. Taylor for your beautiful music!!!

Just learned from a friend 5 minutes ago that James Taylor will be having a concert here in the Philippines on April 08, 2024. Can’t express my happiness and can’t wait to watch the concert. Oh, how good I feel while listening to his voice. 7 boys, 2 girls, and all adults now, and we all listen to his music. I can't believe how they all love him. ❤ I cook to his songs. I visit Mother Nature with his songs 🎵 in my ear. Hebis phenomenal ❤

Carolina always reminds me of my mom spinning this album in the late 70s... This vid was recorded just 6 months before my wife and I were married in Scotland. Been 16 years since I lost her. Wish we'd stayed in Scotland.

Yes, my name is Karen, and yes, this is one of my most favorite songs. JT is has always been my favorite singer. I named my daughter Taylor and my son Benjamin James. Not technically because of JT, but I think the coincidence is cool.

sad to think he was in a facility to kick heroin when the song came out, so he couldnt promote it & it didnt do so great on the charts. even after a brain injury wiped out the lyrics of most songs i loved i still remembered this one.

Those Olson Concert Series guitars have a consistent great tone! Only the old NBN Concert Series guitars can compair. Especially, the ones with the X-bracing.
