Ohne Filter was a popular music program run by the German public TV station SWF from 1983 to 2001. The show featured international pop and rock artists, who would typically play a 45-minute set in front of a live audience in a TV studio.
This Ohne Filter James Taylor special was recorded on March 27, 1986 and first broadcast on January 2, 1987.

Great song. I love all of james taylor songs but my two favorite are Going to carolina, You got a friend. They both give great feelings from the heart to the heart. Carolina on my mind is about north Carolina.But I live in south carolina so I just let the carolina be in my mind. Wow - utterly beautiful live cut of a song (and album) that I always felt was a bit under-rated. I've always really liked the Walking Man album and this song is really a beauty. Great band - which I'd seen them on the tour.

Simplesmente maravilhosa essa música do grande James Taylor...tenho tocado ela bastante😮...Walkin' Man... Assisti JT em Porto Alegre duas vezes, a primeira em 1986 no Gigantinho arena e em 2017 no Beira Rio, JT com dedo quebrado não pode tocar seu violão Olson...pena...😢

Like Carolina In My Mind, he plays it in a higher key than he does on the record. On the record he plays it E, and brings it down to D, and live, he plays it on F#, and then brings it down to E. Just an observation.
