I can hear the unison and the beats of half and whole tones between G# and B Flat (A flat and B Flat) and so on. This great piece of music help me out to understand the concept and sound of Critical band. Love those sounds...

Klangfarbenmelodie meets minimalism. Reminds me of Boulez´ “...explosant- fixe...”, only with more modest resources. Like being inside a ringing bell.

I think James Tenney is not and never be a musician. He was a transcendent and his art is beyond to be called just music.

There are those who get pleasure from listening to this? Really?

i dont think its supposed to sound good it's more like a sound experiment to see the relationships between slightly different frequencies played together

@@LlyonaFang Presuming you're correct, is that idea so interesting or profound that I should spend 17 minutes of my life listening to it?

@@jaspernatchez lol no, i couldnt make it through the whole way either. it sounded unpleasant to me but i skipped through parts of it and was like "oh alright that sounds interesting" maybe to someone with a non-western ear it might sound profound and good to them, not for me or you though. I only checked this out cuz we were learning about Tenney for class

@@LlyonaFang I presume that whatever silly point the "composer" is trying to make, what he made is not music.
