Each week night, THE LATE LATE SHOW with JAMES CORDEN throws the ultimate late night after party with a mix of celebrity guests, edgy musical acts, games and sketches. Corden differentiates his show by offering viewers a peek behind-the-scenes into the green room, bringing all of his guests out at once and lending his musical and acting talents to various sketches. Additionally, bandleader Reggie Watts and the house band provide original, improvised music throughout the show. Since Corden took the reigns as host in March 2015, he has quickly become known for generating buzzworthy viral videos, such as Carpool Karaoke."

They actually reach the point when we, the audience, gets pumped and excited for a cameraman cameo, a one line from the audio supervisor, a banter from the backstage crew, birth of a child or wedding anniversary of one of the members of the band or a budding friendship between a super sweet producer with a Broadway superstar. This show is pure gold!

Someone should start a petition to keep this format. I even started enjoying Fallon's show after he came back to the studio but as soon as it went back to a live audience and doing the monologue in the same old way since Johnny Carson I just can't.

I agree only because the audience slows down the show so much. They have them back on The Tonight show and even without the audience Jimmy Fallon can barely make it through his own jokes without laughing at it forever. That show should just be Jimmy Fallon doing a stupid dance in this audience just laughing the whole time

Maybe once things get back to normal, the audience should be quite small and sat almost within the crew on the stairs or sth like that, so that James will still be chatting with the whole crew and not be talking to a formal, big audience. I think it would keep the intimacy of the show while enabling some people to experience this !

I live on the West Coast of Canada. I am older - so don't stay up late to watch TV. I picked up this really great show on utube. I don't know what it was like before "the virus" but the nightly monologues have me doubled over with laughter. Please don't bring back an audience - because - listening to the show is like eavesdropping on my teenage son hanging out with his buddies. I feel the friendship between these guys always getting a penis into the conversation. Love you James & all your staff.!!!!!

The format is so interesting, its like a sitcom. you have to know previous epsiodes to know about patti lupone. and then over time you get to know more about the characters. except its real life and youre watching real people and its real laughs. and it not like reality show where its all drama

In post COVID times, James & this crew should continue to do a daily KZfaq monologue (without an audience) prior to every show. I’ve really enjoyed getting to know James’s crew. What a fun group of characters! My absolute favorite format. It’s like having a great dinner party 5-days/ wk with your wittiest best friends. Feels delightful. Makes me happy 5 of 7 days/wk in isolation. I wouldn’t change a thing.

@@rebeccameador7712 I watch from my couch from 4-10. I watch news, and when it begins to repeat, I read/play words with friends/sudoku. I'm also practicing watercolors. At 10, I get into bed and read til about 5 am, and usually sleep during the morning. I know when Jimmy Kimmel's and Cordon's monologues go on KZfaq, and watch. (I read a lot. That's good during a quarantine.)

This has been an incredible format to watch and I love it! It gives viewers the chance to be part of the crew-hear the jokes-know the people behind the scenes and watch the interactions with the band, writers and producers! Even if things go back to “normal” I think you have found the new way to do late night!

I had to look up Patti to see who she was & she has the most amazing voice! I miss live Broadway shows so much! I lived in Syracuse for almost 4 years & they have the best theater in the country! I used to attend preview night performances for $9.00 a ticket. They were awesome! CT has nothing to compare.
