Absolutely loved Wynd, a completely different direction and theme than Department of Truth, but both are incredible!

I enjoy hearing how things go in the background.... hearing the mind of the writer. I also appreciate how you cleared up that at Image there is nothing wrong just different process.

@@rossrichie8032 Some people are just casual readers but for someone like me I like hearing the mechanics of what goes on. Since I have seen your recent interviews I really have more of an appreciation for Boom I love the interaction you have with the retailers and readers. I discovered Boom with lumberjanes for my kids and Fence was my first Boom book.

Well I didn't really know that image really didn't have a editorial staff That's quite interesting

Yes, Image does not have any staff editors. Creators can hire their own editor to help them freelance, but that comes out of their pocket and their financial side of the equation.

But I find it all so interesting that James tynion wanted to experience that at Image Comics that it gave him a new type of set of skills going through that type of thing of not having you do an editorial staff they're at Image Comics I find that really interesting they wanted to do that because I think that's really cool that gives you a new set of skills. Maybe even stretches the boundaries of your creativity when you're running a series it pushes things that you little bit more reliant on yourself and your fellow creators they're working on the series with you all the way down to the lettering to the color colorist so on and so forth

Different approaches to different needs. Some creators like doing it all themselves. Others just want to focus on what they do.

Wynd for me was a little bit of a tough sell at first with the first issue but as I read the entire series as a whole is actually really good story I'm hoping for a lot more like of that Universe because I can really see you like spin-offs from it you know detailing other things that we really didn't know about that world because it seems quite fascinating be honest you know I know that there's more to come but I would love to see other Creator come in to really expand that world

Department truth I will say is this it's an intriguing idea it's not grabbing me the way it should be but I'm still trying to give it a chance I mean I'm still recommending the serious the other people at my local shop in Harrisburg Pennsylvania.

@@rossrichie8032 I really enjoy something's killing the children I think that James really in my eyes at least really was going amazing idea because for me when I'm reading the serious it feels like it's kind of a little bit and I'm not saying that's what James was going for let me say that in this comment. It feels like something killing the children is a little bit and omage to Buffy the Vampire Slayer but it takes a lot of the jokes and tries to be very serious and really give you a protagonist that really you feel so much for that character even though she's a part of this organization but you really feel that she really cares about the people she tries to protect it takes these very serious tones everleigh also at the same time spins in on its head and it feels like the entire series is so flushed out it's surprising that this series really is it a lot of ways ahead of its time for some of the things that's talkin about like it has a lot of I don't know a lot of themes. To the point where that particular series I've always gotten a lot of people to like pick it up at the shop I'm at because I always talk about it because it is a very good series that series is really great and I'm hoping that it gets adapted because I think that the audience would be ready for something like that because it does not hold back on the punches and the artwork on it is really good in the letters amazing

I've chatted with James several times at his Midtown signings. Why doesn't Boom do more signings in Manhattan?

Kieron Gillen writes The Eternals and Once & Future. Tom Taylor writes DCeased and Seven Secrets. Lots of overlap there. Good luck!
