As a Warriors fan and Huge James Wiseman fan I’m so happy he’s at a place where finally I believe he will get his shot . The guard play in Detroit was God awful outside of Cade who he barely played with cause he wasn’t starting and probably should’ve been but the drafted Duren who is great in his own right but still very young . Wiseman need to be liberated and the Pacers will do that. It should be noted while it’s technically his 5th season Wiseman has only actually played less than 2 seasons of NBA basketball check his minutes and games played amazing ball skills for a big . I lean more Anthony Davis/Embiis than Ayton. Wise best game which hasn’t been featured yet is facing up . He’s was built to be a center of an offense but landed in the worst spot for that. He’s now more comfortable doing the small dirty work lead the league in screen assist and screen quality while barely playing. I believe he will show the reason he’s a #2 pick I’m excited.Love the video will watching a lot of Pacers basketball! 💙💛

I gotta be honest, I was never sold on IJax as our backup center or Jalyn smith for that matter. They’re both 6’9” and just can’t hang with centers to be honest. That’s actually why I love this signing as well. It gives us versatility we didn’t have before. Wiseman can play backup center or if needed we’d be able to do a super big lineup with him Turner and Siakam at the same time. It’s going to be a great year!

I know that Jackson played better at end of year. But the first half of the year he looked like he didn't belong in the NBA at all. Point is, he hasn't proven himself over a full season. I think the backup center position is up for either of these guys.

Young Bigs in the NBA take a while to get going he is only 23 years old. There will be some inconsistency in his game until he gets consistent playing time. He is fun to watch and will be a double double guy in the future.

I love the pick up. Totally worth a shot. He could turn into an absolute steal for us. Specifically big for the Pacers and their weaknesses

Its funny you said that bcuz I was wanting to be an ahole too and just talk trash about Wiseman for the he|| of it and say how it was a trash pick up, I was feeling the same way you were but I decided against it but hes actually a lowkey decent pickup, definitely a low risk high reward being he's still so young and has room for improvement. If not improvement in his game he could still very easily improve his numbers just playing with Hali, T.J., and Nemhard and getting more opportunities and playing time than he's previously gotten in other places. Also I agree with you the backup Center position is up for grabs.

I have very mixed feelings. I don't think he has a fair shake. His I.Q and his timing was a lot of his issue. He got injured because of his timing of a block at GS. Idk that the same athleticism is still there. He used to be able to throw down.. Early on he wasn't seeing certain plays on the floor. Miss his assignment, but I also noticed instead of shaking it off. He would be pretty hard on himself. At GS anyways and I can understand that being there. Because you feel like all the other vets are expecting so much of you. He was in a very difficult place to be taken as a Rookie. Who probably wasn't ready to be taken so high in the draft. Then he went to DET, that doesn't do anyone any favors.. They regress player's even more.. That team is a dumpster fire, no one can shoot on that team.. I feel so bad for Bobi Klintman, who I wish we'd taken as a project.. Wiseman would miss calling out switches. Maybe being on a team where he feels there's more of a reason to compete. With a team that's more suited to his style and pace of learning. It should help him a lot, if he's willing to commit to improving.. We've definitely needed the size and hieght at his position.. So tired of never having a decent traditional big with some mobility and talent. If he could give us more of the effort he had at GS, with more of the timing and poise he had at DET. We could end up with a solid player. I noticed at DET, even though he'd make a solid contest. It was like if he'd only slightly commit a little more to getting the block. He would have gotten them most of the time.

I thought Wiseman was going to be really good coming out of college so far, I’ve been wrong but we’ll see. I’ve always like his potential I think he will be our backup Center before the year is over.

Lets be real. He has a lot of physical tools that are intriguing. But from what ive seen he hasnt been consistently good and reliable. Ive seen him look really sharp, then i e seen him look like a ppayer that isnt wanting to assert himself. Maybe its the IQ that hasnt caught on to the systems he has been in yet? But im hopeful. As always. Iclike he s physical attributes a lot!
