The Nerd tackles the infamous Ninja Gaiden for the NES. Widely considered one of the hardest games of the 8-bit era. Even a master ninja would have trouble, if given the chance. Well, a chance is given, as the Nerd seeks out the help of a sensei master. Q-tips will drop, thumbs will slice - it's AVGN: Ninja Gaiden!

When some game is pissing me off I comes back to this video. “Is it you controlling the game or the game controlling you?”. “A ninja must see beyond the borders of the screen”. “Preserve the victory in your head and your preserved future will be your present”. “Anger does not exist!”. “Pain does not exist!”. “Before you think you must feel!”. “If you set a course for the moon and merely follow the stars, then you will miss that which you have set forth” 🤣😂🤣😂 i laugh so hard every time i watch this and see James’ reaction after he says that. And then the ninja kinda shrugs b/c he knew it made absolutely no fkn sense lmao. Great AVGN moment.

I think it actually makes a bit of sense. If you look at the words, it's basically saying "If you set a destination by what's around it, you miss the point of the original destination."

@George Kafiridis, so am I. Amazing how that works, no? I think the ninja's line was referencing the old Bruce Lee line, not the older proverb. You disagree. Neither of us has any evidence to support our opinions. Perhaps if James does an AMA someone can ask him.
@qawamity
@qawamity 3 жыл бұрын
@George Kafiridis, if it was as "obvious" as you say it is, than I wouldn't be disagreeing with you. Now, quit trying to save face on an old internet argument, accept that until there's official word from the content creator, my answer is just as valid as yours.
