The reason I like these tees is they don’t break, and the tee height is consistent. No messing around trying to get the same height every time.

They shouldn’t have named them that. No different distances for me but I do love them because they last forever and give you a consistent height

I think that marketing is hilarious. Who cares about 4 more yards?. I care about accuracy. If there was a tee that advertised “no more than 4 yards off center” I’d buy that.

I actually got some of these at my local store early last season and the 4 pack lasted me the entire season. In fact I still have 3 left I use on my simulator. To me there is nothing worse than a pocket full of wooden tees you reach into and one jabs you under the finger nail. I can't say I gained more distance but I liked the consistent tee height and the durability.

Don't know if I get the four yards, but I've been using the same 4 pack of them for 4 years, so if nothing else, they are a pretty good bargain.

You did say the tee flies out of the ground easily, perhaps that the 4 yards they’re referring to!

I've been using these Tee's for a while now. Not because they give you more yards (which i really dont believe they do) but because i can play 10 rounds of golf with the same tee!

Great video james, I don't know if you get more yards, but it will not scratch up the bottom of your driver like a wood tee does, been using them for 6 months the bottom of my driver stills looks new.. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

I have bought Martini Tees (+5 yards), lowered the face angle of my driver (+20 yards), learned to fully release the club (+10 yards), bought distance rated golf balls (conforming but at 105 compression they should go an extra 10 yards) and been working out (+10 yards). When I hit the ball it goes at LEAST 45 yards further into the woods, sometimes much further.

These were available at least 10 years ago. I bought some from a golf shop and used them for a couple of years. I had no view about distance but I did find advantages and one main disadvantage. For me, the problem was that they were sometimes difficult to get into the hard ground we get in the summer. One positive was that I only lost one that dropped out of my pocket. I found they always remain in the ground after the shot. Testing indoors on a mat is probably not going to produce the same result. The other thing is that I never had one of these tees breaking. On that basis, I guess you could argue they are cheap! I am pretty sure that if you have a faster swing speed than me, they will eventually break, but I also think they will last much longer than wooden tees. You should test them on course in the summer.

You need to try one of these. I've hit at least 1000 drives with one and it hasn't broken. I have had to search for it after a tee shot but it's big enough to find easily. I still have 5 I've never hit and probably will never have to buy another tee as long as I can find them. Martini Golf 3-1/4" Durable Plastic Tees - you can find them on Amazon.

James, Those set into the ground better than a mat, and they don't fly from dirt. The mat made it a bit wobbly, it's much more secure in dirt. I actually use these, and used 1 tee the entire season. I will likely use that same tee next season.

That's the tee peg I'm currently using. I don't care about the 4 extra yards. What I've gained from it is accuracy. More so than not I'm in the fairway after I hit my tee shot. It also helps with consistent ball height at the address. Just one less thing I have to think about. I just push it into the ground and let it rip. Thanks for the review and all your hard work. I love these blue length tees. Mostly for consistent tee height. I just got the yellow 4" version to try hopefully tomorrow. I have broken 2 in hard soil and I have lost 3 from how far off the tee box they land. I agree that they have traveled at least 4 more yards from impact than wooden tees... The Ball? That's a whole other story!!! :)

Had me going there for a moment.........was getting ready to get new tees. NOT! I'll keep my good ole Phil tees and save the on course abuse from my golf buds. But.......for a future test, I would LOVE to see you hit some good ole Persimmon woods and compare against the "NEW" stuff. Might be fun for us old guys. Feel better James.

I’ve been using these for about 6 months. I play 3-4 times a week - love retired life - and so far have only lost 1, and finally broke one last week on a really cold day. Great durability. Never believed the distance claim, went to them for consistent tee height, and My driver dispersion has improved. Yes, they cost more, but they last a long time.

These are my go to tees. Last time I was on the course I was out of these so I used reg. wood tees…..not a good day.

Dang you golf! Bamboozled again! I’ve been using these about 1 year now. The good news is They last a super long time and give you consistent heights. Good stuff. I have tried the "4 tee" before. I only had 1 and I lost it after the 2nd tee box. Not sure a tee can promise more distance except a few that makes the ball float and there is no friction and resistance from the tee it self. Gimmick. While you're at it do a test with the Brush Tees. Might as well.

I’ve used these for about a year now. Don’t know if they give you more yards but but I think I get consistent tee height and they last a really long time! I’ve broken 2 tees in about 100 rounds of golf. I love them!

These are the best tees ever made! I use these ones in video for driver next one down for driving with woods then under that irons and the smallest for hybrid

I have been using these tees since i started golfing (5 yrs ago) idk if they give for more yards but for a new golfer it was easier to be consistent with tee height so i did the same thing each time.

These are great lasted an entire season and consistent tee height. The red ones are good as well for irons or cobra fairway woods off the tee. Cheers

I have a sandwich baggie filled with those but haven't been using them recently. I stopped using them because I was losing them too easily. Started using them only because the blue tees are exactly the height I tee my ball when I want to hit it higher, and the yellow ones the exact height I tee the ball when I want to hit it a bit lower. Don't know about the 4 extra yards, though.

I use these tee's. They are great because of the lip. My ball is always teed the same height easily. They last forever if you don't lose them. Never noticed distance gain, still better IMHO. Plus no marks on your driver.

I have the F9 and use black tees because I can't stand the line marks from white ones.

I am using these 4 tees and I seriously doubt that these tees give more length, but the surely support the ball much better. I did not experience that a ball fell from the just before the shot and this is the reason why I use them.

Although I have used castle tees for years, I really admire that golf courses that have banned the use of plastic tees - definitely the right approach

I've used one of these I found on my local course and enjoyed it. Will honestly say even if it didnt give me 4 extra yards i did hit it more consistently than a wooden or plastic peg. My local course shop has them for 5 usd gonna pick some up next time i play

White marks are useful for spotting strike position and also path if you look at bottom of club.

I actually love these tees just because they do last. You can play with one tee for several rounds and probably even dozens of rounds. They're very hard to lose. And they also give you very consistent tee height.

I'd say the only thing effecting distance is tee hight, not the plastic petals on top. As you must know, long drive competitors tee up very high with ball lined up forward with left heel for a better angle of attack to make contact slightly high/toe on the face.

Best tees I've ever used. Consistent, doesn't mark your woods and seem to be more accurate as well.

I use a similar tee it's Masters:Lift Tee Ultra 2.5in Hinged Step and I am hitting the ball further using them

I bet for someone who struggled with consist tee height this might help however the same could be said about any old step tee

For me, it’s not about the extra yards (if any), its just one less thing to think about at the tee. I’ve been using them for years. I never lose them, never break them on the drive, and the height is always the same. They work for me.

I tried these several years ago, and best I could tell the name came from having to walk 4 more yards trying to pick up my tee. The ball didn’t seem to go farther but the tee flew at least 12’ or “4 more yards”.

I have used these tees, but I'm back to wood. One word of advice.I bought a pack from TGW and they never broke. Bought a pack from Walmart and I broke all four in 9 holes.

I use the yellow wedge tees because theyre easier to find and ultra sturdy. Makes no difference otherwise.

More likely the tee height encourages a more upward strike that subject to how and individual golfer reacts might add yards. The 1000ths of a second at impact the tee is not going to make a jot of difference!

I wouldn't think they would go further. But, I would enjoy the better durability over wood.

I think the distance claims come from the consistency in height(noticed you weren’t down to the little ridge) where many people just place the Tee in the ground and sometimes too high, sometimes too low. I’d really wish instead of polymer it would say plastic, because come on, scientific sounding words aren’t going to make it longer 😂

Different driver than usual James, see you have swapped to the Cobra from your usual M5. Mind you, u still have your usual left side bias. Some of these manufacturers would have you believe that black was white the only way to see if it works is to try it yourself. If it works for you, good, if not pass them on to someone else, pretty soon we will all have had a go of them.

I used to buy long 6" wood golf tees I can't seem to find any super duper long (joke tees)... I have to hit balls off of tall boy beer cans now. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN BUY THE SUPER LONG GOLF TEES... LONGER than these 4 more yards tees?????????? If not... I think I can custom make some. Buy those wooded BBQ skewers and some silicone plugs... carve out the top of the plug concave to accept a ball and drill in the other end enough to put the skewer in...

I'm working on a tee that detects its position in relation to the clubface on the downswing and then moves the ball so that at the moment of impact you make centered contact. I call it the "Impossibily Tee". I think it is about as real as what these guys are claiming... Now if they could make a tee that auto-returns itself to the bag after you hit it into long grass off the tee, I'd buy that.

I use these tees and I find them slightly longer than my wooden ones.
