Jamie & Dakota are bonded to the movies for life. Not each other. They did the best they could with what was written on the page. Jamie said an actor is only as good as the written words. They are former coworkers who will see each other on the promotional circuses for their separate work probably every few years, say hi, how are you, catch up for a few and move on as they’ve done for the last four years. Seeing each other twice in four years isn’t any type of bonding.

It is appalling that FS has to be mentioned EVERYTIME Jamie is interviewed. It is over, people, they are actor-friends…that is it!

Not to be bitter and boring, but since Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan's era of friendship in the Fifty Shades trilogy is over years ago, Jamie now has a wife and is on a new path. In a confidential interview he said that Amelia and her daughters will be his great priority, he also stated that Dakota is already history and will never return to us, in a nutshell he literally no longer wants to hear from her (Dakota) perhaps forever .

In an interview promoting a new movie its pathetic. But sex sells and journos seem obsessed with it.

Only thing I can say about any of these comments is, no other movie except MCU, of course, has made the money that fsog trilogy has, over a billion dollars, Belfast standing right now at $6.9 million, Lost Daughter right now at $14, 521. All of the movies they have made since fsog trilogy have basically been box office flops, meaning they spent more to make them, than they earned at the box office. Fifty shade trilogy cost $150 million to make, but earned over a billion dollars. The solution, put Jamie and Dakota together in any type movie, and watch what happens. Now I’m waiting to see who’s pissed off at the truth.

They weren’t good movies. Poorly written. Jamie has said he prefers indie films over big studio films. Yep, the movies made them both more financially secure, that’s the reason Jamie did them. He accomplished what he wanted at the expense of being shit on for years. He’s getting back to where he was when he was nominated for a BAFTA and won 2 IFTA’s for the role he credits to changing his life. Belfast isn’t a box office flop, it played at around 3500 cinemas and is still playing, plus opening up globally this month. But that movie isn’t meant to compete against FS, nothing will. Again books sold, butts in seats. I’d prefer to see Jamie’s “box office flops” over those movies.

I understand your point of view, truth should always be separated from any matter that surrounds fiction, it is true that Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan are great friends to date and the role they had in the Fifty Shades trilogy was enormous, but they they are on their sides making their careers, the journalist asking this question about Fifty Shades and talking about her (Dakota), did not suit Jamie, it is, on the part of the journalist, a real lack of shame and respect at the same time, more with Caitriona Balfe, that she has nothing to do with this episode of Jamie as an actor, she is Jamie's countrywoman, I think she is Northern Ireland like him. Luckily she (Caitriona) was tolerant and humorous and did not send the journalist to the baton for this tavern question full of downfalls. Jamie doesn't want to know about the Fifty Shades trilogy or Dakota Johnson, he had already been clear in an interview, but it seems that the ghost of this movie and Dakota follow him and more her. Poor Jamie, he won't be able to deal with her past.

He’d mention if he’d seen her more than that. He only speaks of her when specifically asked, not like other costars he’s recently worked with. They had a friendship during filming, but I believe it’s an acquaintance now. Jamie has said he always hopes to maintain friendships with coworkers, but it doesn’t always happen. They looked awkward together in telluride. I’m sure he’ll be happy to see her if/when he does see her. A quick “hi how are you” then go along their own way as it will undoubtedly only be for work. They don’t take any opportunity to see each other in private. They never did.

JD doesn't deny his character in FS. But that's just one character in his career. Paraphrasing a well known saying 'an actor is only as good as his last role'. CG is now well in the past role wise and JD has to promote his new movies in order to have a continuing career. Fans need to understand that he isn't as hung up on FS as fans still are and be grateful that he brought a well loved character to life.
