Following the emotional story of teenager Jamie Campbell, as he makes a bold step on his difficult journey into adulthood.
The revealing, thought-provoking film shows Jamie battling prejudice from his community, and even within his own family, whilst pursuing what he feels is his destiny - to become a drag queen.
Growing up in an ex-mining village in County Durham, Jamie has already faced his fair share of difficulties after coming out as gay at 14. However, with the majority of his family and friends being supportive, Jamie has now decided that he is ready to share his passion with the world.
He plans to embrace who he really is, by attending his end of school prom in drag.

This film is a small masterpiece. Hope it spreads good feelings far and wide.The American right, a portion of it anyway, has completely the wrong idea about drag and its significance in the culture.

Congratulations Jamie the only trolls out there are the ones that are not so sure of themselves and are very jealous of you. You are who you are and love yourself for being you. Because there is a multitude just like you who love themselves and do not care about what others think. Let them live their life and you live yours, be happy you have a great support behind you one being your greatest supporter your mother. Keep the Lord in your heart and walk with him because he loves you too! And it is through him that he will guide you for the rest of your life.❤

As a parent, I would support my child whether they were straight or gay. Although, if I would find it disturbing to have my 16 year old daughter be celebrated for behaving this sexual or be sexualized to this extent by adults, am I wrong for feeling the same way about my 16 year old son doing these things? I think this documentary is glossing over a very serious issue.

You are right. So right! You too could get pounded like you mention he wants to, so you could be happy like him, doing what he wants... Or at least, all that pounding would poke your brain and activate more neurons so you could deliver more and more intelligent comments with great psychological analysis to justify your prejudices.

@@albersouza6614 no prob, it's very common these days, liberal close-mindedness, people just believe whatever liberal media are telling them to believe so they become hostages to dogmatic beliefs when in fact to find truth they should be open to "nazi" ideas. But because it involves the "nazis", they're not allowed to think such thoughts, that's how we ended up with radical cucks calling conservative Muslims white supremacists, it makes sense in their heads.
