My friend was a huge hip hop head and wanted to go see How High at the theater. I knew of Wu-Tang but wasn't a hip hop fan and Method Man was simply "that dude I saw in Cop Land." My friend offered to smoke me up before the movie and I had nothing to do so why not! The only times I've laughed that much in the theater was at Half Baked and the first Borat movie. I went out and bought 36 Chambers and Tical on my friend's recommendation the next day after watching How High because Method Man was so hilarious and cool in that movie. Redman was equally hilarious, too. The Wire is when I realized he could play dramatic roles as well.

"I'm not even Greek!" Totally different worlds with totally different potential problems and potential enemies. On the streets, your name is what carries weight beyond your actions and deeds and we saw it multiple times throughout the series. When you're an international crime syndicate, the only people looking for you are government agencies and you definitely don't want your name ringing out lol.

The levels of that convo was so deep. Omar and Avon had Marlo figured out even though they barely knew him. That’s why Omar was going around calling Marlo out directly cause he knew Marlo was the kinda guy who would’ve shown his face in the street if he knew his rep was being attacked. Them u add how envious Marlo was of Avon cause even though he was locked up he called him by his name is this video cause he knew Barksdale and Omar had the biggest reps in the street and was respected and he hadn’t reached that level of notoriety yet. That’s all Marlo wanted in the end and never got
