Think about euros. scored in the first couple minutes and then we sat back and defending for the whole game. we have constantly talked about why the same players keep being picked because it just doesn't make sense. until southgate it gone and we bring in a manager that can use tactics and use the young players that we have, we won't win anything.

Tomori was all over the news in the run up to the world cup but then was awful in the Champions League last season both legs against Chelsea. Sterling called up Southgate before the last England camp in June saying he didn't feel up to it. I don't blame Southgate for not picking players like that, either becuase they can't hack it on the big stage or because they show up when they feel like.

A golden generation reminiscent of the mid 2000s round about the 2006 World Cup is nothing but a pipe dream. How can England be expected to grow if the same average to Mediocre players get picked or if the past their prime players won’t make way for the younger generation. Henderson is still in the squad and yet he’s 33. Most his age give up international duty to pass the torch into younger players.

James Ward Prowse, Lewis Dunk and maybe a couple more names...Yes Fik Tomori included. Three players I have reeled off my list that have been hard done by, very unlucky and are undervalued by England. At West Ham, Brighton and AC Milan, they are valued for their hard work, dedication and professionalism. Maguire being picked constantly by Southgate has more than become a laughing stock. It's embarrassing too. United should terminate his contract rather than allow him to sit on the bench and keep reeling in more money. ETH saw he was no longer good enough to captain nor represent the club, Southgate is blind not to see the same way.

Worst part about the henderson call is, southgate blasted the qatar world cup for "violations of human rights", yet he's willing to back hendo while he plays in saudi. These people are propagandists and thats why the FA couldnt fire southgate l. He tows the party line and has no thoughts/ideas of his own. The England squad selection is the most illogical in football. For other nations, players aren’t picked for what they did for England two years ago or what club they play for, they are picked on form. When you see guys like Kelvin Phillips getting picked last season it is blizzard and so frustrating.
