I have an ek that I bought from an old lady for $2000 It had 130k mile on it. Body and interior was 8/10. I immediately did a full b18c swap. I love my ek. It's a complete head turner. Best civic in my opinion.

Had one of these as my 2nd car about 7 years ago. Bought it stock and really learnt to work on cars with it. Insurance is not good on these though at all, you can get much faster cars and pay less for insurance. You can't get the car for cheap now either like you could a few years ago so not really a young person's options anymore

I have one, love them, in the process of swapping a b18 in it :D i paid 500 euro for mine, totally rust free, it was an older car salesman who didnt know what he had :D

Bought my ej9 9months ago for €450,-. Completely stock, 163xxx kilometers, 99,1% rust free, running great. It looked only rough and neglected. Now im daily driving it and try to make it nice again.

Had one as my first car, swapped to for a clean super sonic blue one. B swapped it, 4700 a year insurance but it was worth every penny. Never had so much fun in a car! Even tho i’ve had a Glanza v and drive a s14 now.

A good solid one is near impossible to find. Rot boxes are not the words I'd use but it's about right.

So he bought a mint example of an ej9, and absolutely destroyed it...

i bought my ej9 with 32,000 miles for £1,400 had it for 3 years now , someone keyed my car while it was parked last year and has some scratching bits and bobs. apart from that the car works very well plus in a nice b-90p colour.

this is my first car i love it got it for 500$ with 120k kilometers on it in a mint shape pretty much dirt cheap second owner btw and its been made to 110hp with the 1.4i engine such an amazing car my favorite since a child

Guys I wanna buy a 6th gen Civic for my first car and I have a few questions. I've been looking at offers for a while now and the ones that have 1.6 vtec engines are either off my budget or are completely crappy and unmaintained so I've settled for a 1.4 90hp. Is the 1.4 90hp enough in terms of power for overtaking? I know It's not fast, I don't expect it to be fast, but I wanna know that if I have to overtake i can downshift and hopefully quickly perform the overtaking without any stress. My 2nd question is, will putting a sports air filter and an exhaust cannon muffler Increase the horsepower here? From what I've heard - yes, but It won't be a lot probably 5-6hp above, but still I decided to ask here. And 3rd question is, If after I decide that I want my Honda to be faster, how can I engine swap. I'm not really competent so I used to think I can just get a b16a8 engine for example, get my engine removed and put the new one, but I think that won't work. People are saying I have to change perticular parts of the engine with ones from a v-tec engine and If that's the case can someone write down everything I need to change, because I couldn't find a tutorial. Thanks in advance :)
