Oliver is a man with over 50 years of handling wool - there is no-one who knows Shetland wool more than he does. A true legend and inspiration to everyone connected with Shetland wool.

Great video! I especially enjoyed seeing the grey and moorit fleeces. I am a big fan of your Heritage yarn. I still dream of a colourway that captures the different shades that occur within a single fleece. That would be magical :)

I was privileged to get a private tour and education from Oliver during my Shetland visit 2 years ago. A fabulous experience for me as I was a US dealer of Vispring mattresses that uses shetland wool in some of their mattresses. Great guy and I miss Shetland!

Thank you so much for this it was very interesting. I would like to know what determines the class of wool a sheep produces? Is it dependent on the type of sheep, or their food or how they are clipped?
