Mikey carry some Lube Tube or something similar and grease the back of that gasket and it will stary in place for you. Just a tip from a fellow Pool Guy. Enjoy your videos and keep up the great work!

Thanks for the video. The Versaflow on my heater rattles like it is broken and I had assumed the front/back plate had water going through it and I'd need to have a new gasket on hand before I removed it. Now I know I can open it and inspect.

Great video(s)! Watched your previous video of jxi400nn dead in 18 month. What helps me the most is that the 400NN model has cupronickel heat exchanger which supposed to prolong its life for salt water pool however it didn't! Mine was jxi400n and dead at the start of 3rd season and almost identical as the one in the video. Somehow I got 3 yrs warranty so new one is on its way. Thinking about order a versaflo seems the best option for longer life. I was told later that I should've got the NN model with cupronickel heat exchanger for saltwater pool, but the warranty stays the same as N model. and your case told it doesn't make difference. BTW the JXI Pro heater gets 2.6/5 review on amazon so amount the worst mainly leakage problem with months to 2yrs.

I would use aqua lube to hold the gasket in place. You have the same issue replacing seal plate gasket on whisperflo pump. Using some aqua lube will help it grip. Aside that great video!!!!

On the rubber gasket to aid in installation a light coating of magic pool lube would help it stay in position while installing it and ensure a better seal.

Great video, helped me understand how the bypass actually works. But now I need to winterize my pool equipment, I need to remove all water from the heater and most of the advice I've seen is to use a blower to blow out the return lines including blowing out the water in the heater. But my question is this- when the heater is turned off, wouldn't that mean the air would mostly bypass the heater, and and I'm concerned water would remain over the winter and freeze in the heater. Is there a way to blow out the heater effectively with that bypass installed? Any advice would be great. Thanks

Thanks for the video. My Jxi400 came with versa flow installed and it failed in a month with Fault: Check verasflow. It'd keep shutting/opening. Then the heater went completely dead before the installer could call Jandy. Jandy replace the heater and installed today. after an hour has same fault: Check versaflow. I disabled in service menu but WHAT IS THE SOLUTION? Is it the low rpm when heater is off? My heater ON RPM is 2750. when heater is off the rpm are either 1500 or 2500.

Surprise it wasn’t included with the heater.

Thanks for the video. My heat exchanger (400N) failed after 5 years and I am also installing a verso-flow with the new exchanger to try to increase the life a little longer. Question if you know: Can I use the cupro-nickel exchanger instead of the copper one? My supplier has them for the same price. Thanks!

I have a quick question. I have the same unit and I can hear debris (maybe small rocks that some how got past the filter system) banging around loudly at times. I believe I need to drain/clean out the heat exchanger tank. Any advice?
