kinda sad that some people found this scene to be "cringeworthy" considering his character did pour his heart out to lisbon in front of everyone due to the fear of losing the only person he cared for after his wife and daughter passed, for me this was one of the best scenes they have in the show and i found nothing cringe about it at all

This scene could have been cringeworthy but Simon and Robins performances were spot on.

"I lover her! That woman in 12b. I love her!" LOL! The writing and the actors are so good in this series. The way Simon Baker is able to deliver those lines is so in character. It's hilarious and romantic and sooooooo Patrick Jane.

You know, I've seen this scene probably more than two dozen times, and it never fails to jerk some tears from this poor schlub. The sincerity in his voice, coupled with LIsbon's reaction to his speech and the music just does it for me every time.

I love, love, love their slow-burn romance. My husband and I r watching the show for the first time, and I knew since season 1 when he bought her that gorgeous emerald necklace (that she refused to keep lol) that he adored her. He knew that emerald is her color! He is emotionally stunted so his only way to say ‘I love you’ was by treating her like a Princess and low-key flirting with/teasing her. When he got her that pony was when I double knew, bc even tho she acted pissed, her face said it was a dream come true. Despite his childish manipulation she adored him too, which was why he had the ability to hurt her so badly, especially when he pulled that stupid stunt in this episode (which I fully predicted ☺️). In the episodes leading up to this she was practically begging him to ask her to stay, but he refused to take it seriously and chose to live in denial. His wake-up call was when his idiotic stunt didn’t work! I am so excited to watch their romance progress. The show has its ridiculous parts (I still adore it tho), but I have always loved their best-friends-to-lovers dynamic. I do feel pretty bad for Pike tho 😕 But still, Jane and Lisbon were made for each other and I love it 💕 Also, I love being right bc I’ve been insisting they would get together since season 1 ✌️

This is epic scene of the series...... finally after so many seasons this is happening......it felt like surreal.......in many episodes it seemed that confessing of love is on the cards but it never happened.......but deep down inside Lisbon knows that Jane will come and will confess his love to her.....her eyes are constantly looking for Jane.......that desperation in her eyes for Jane is so beautifully captured........this gesture of Jane can melt anybody's heart......gosh you can't take off your eyes from them.....hats off to both the actors.....it will be classic scene forever....... I also admire Lisbon's patience...... knowing that she loves Jane from the bottom of her heart she always waited for him and never revealed her feelings .....Jane also knew that he is in love with her but never for a minute he lost his concentration from Red John..... Very true deep love story...... Hoping that this series comes with new seasons......

There was something akward about the whole speech, but the expressions and the crying saved it. It was so not the right place to be completely vulnerable, but I guess love and desperation gives you the bravery. My favorite phrase is her first reaction, to apologize to the passenger next to her, and the response, everyone there was just enjoying the whole drama.

I'd do the same for Teresa. I know it's silly to have a crush on a fictional tv-series character, but what a woman she is.

Jane loved Lisbon so much he was prepared to lose her if that meant her happiness and safety. Even though she couldn't admit to herself Lisbon loved Jane as much he loved her and wanted him to come and claim her by telling her those three words. She understood him better than anyone else but still didn't realise how still deeply traumatised Jane was by his past, the guilt , self loathing and letting someone close to him didn't end by killing RJ. Jane indirectly told her he loved her numerous times " you've no idea what you mean to me... I will be there for you no matter what..I'm always going to save you " Lisbon just didn't see when he lovingly glanced at her , how his jaw hit the ground whenever he saw in a dress or the fear and concern in his eyes when she was in danger. If Pike was was what she wanted and made her happy Jane was willing to let her without telling how felt because he would do " anything thing for you Lisbon " right up to the end until he couldn't let her go. It was a desperate move by a desperate man finally admitting his love to woman loved for years .

As a Male, as opposed to every Woman's thought here, lol, I thought this was a beautiful expression of how a Man can love and Need a special woman. It is a beautiful thing when it occurs, everyday, all around the world.

This scene always makes me cry. I know they end up together but God damn. 😭 This is one of the only times Jane has truly said what he feels and it's hard to watch how badly it scares him. But also seeing the relief on his face after finally being able to admit how he feels is so heartwarming. It's such an amazing moment in the show. ❤

I like how writers left to us, the audience, to decide if they are meant to be a couple or just friends. Sure to some people this might look cringey or bad but I found it quite interesting, imo they go well together and they are very professional actors so they did this scene really good

EVERYTHING here is SO perfect.. 😭😭💖 his words, his sincerity for her and himself, his love so real, pure and intense!! for him there was no one else on that plane, only her 😭 Even here he wasn't selfish when she replies that "it's too late" he acknowledges and accepts it, he never pressures her to stay or asks her to, him don't use his words as manipulation to make she stay, he is just happy that he was able to tell her what she deserved to know.. 😭💔💕 my mother cried watching this scene, and I was so happy that I could barely breathe.. the best scene of them will forever be this one, the one with the kiss and when he proposes marriage 😍😍😭👏👏

I loved most how Jane said, that he lies and tricks, obvious reasons, but now it is the truth, and that he is happy to realize, that this really IS the truth. Loved the crack in his voice. Chapeau, Mr. Baker! And the line with the woman in 12b I also loved. Doesn't matter if it takes place on a plane or not. And it fits, because Jane needed the pressure of the last possibility to reveal his real feelings to Teresa and himself.

Having experienced a shocking murder in my life I can empathize with Jane. You just want to close the curtains on the world from pain and just walk around with a big thumping callous in your chest for the rest of your life. And then when some ray of light peaks through, it's blinding.

He he he, it is in fact a bit cringe worthy but is also at the same time very powerful in it's truthness and crudeness. It is so I guess because in that instant, the actor has to express how inside the character collide not only the realization of posible loss, the inner truth, the past trauma, the facade of a persona and reality itself, but additionally he is battling his own shadow. Great work from Simon. Good luck.

But fail to understand why Lisbon fall for the other person......she didn't trust Jane anymore or she thought that would be the trigger and Jane will confess his love ......but why she didn't confess her love to him after they met....
