This is a short and much better quality version of the clip of Jane Goodall releasing a chimp. The chimp's name is Wounda. You can see the full-length video here: • Wounda's Journey
All rights for this video belong to Jane's organization. I'm just providing here a more convenient version for sharing.

The sad part is - when she passes on, ugly natured people will have ugly things to say about her. Rumors will pass around that she was really doing it all for selfish reasons. They do this with any people who make a difference in the world.

My aunt worked with her. She’s a good activist but apparently a bit of a psychopath in the community of those who study primates. They usually avoid her if they can help it. Diane Fossy was the other one people avoided. Great work, but they were/are a bit too involved. They’re sorta seen as creepy and obsessed, not invested and interested

For 18 years I was separated from my family due to war. I grew up in exile by myself and many times I experienced this sort of hug from people of good will and those who cared about my safety and well-being. I called them my second family. Quite emotional! Nothing could be better than seeing Wounda bidding a good bye to those who looked after her in hard times. While separation cuts deep there is also a sense of gratitude and a new beginning! ♥

animals consciousness is almost like human, they have emotion and compassion too. I have a feeling that it is not becos we have a human brain that we can think like a human. It is maybe becos of the level of consciousness we have ie. we have higher level of consciousness and we ended up as human. For animals, they have slightly lower level of consciousness hence they ended up as animals.

Change the sentence " that do not get imitated as an example" as they should. They don't crave for recognition at all....they just give examples...to follow or just to talk about...up to the viewers !! And they...in not Jane Goodall only...but they are also the multitude of carers that were there 24/7 during the 6yrs of each individual ape - that is successfully groomed to return to the wild - sometimes away from their own family...!

These days your country is a stronger representation of freedom than mine. I recently learned of your law that states that prisoners have the legal right to seek freedom by means of escape assuming they break no other laws in the process. How fitting that this creature receive the same. In our states we are slowly becoming more and more complacent with authoritarianism and allowing so many of our citizens to be imprisoned for their entire lives.

@@cat_lover007 It's ok to cry, as a young man I tried not to show emotions, but then as I got older that changed, and I also discovered professor Jordan Peterson and things dramatically shifted for me; real men do cry, because to cut ourselves away from our emotion is to shun an authentic life. That's just me, I'm not a cry at the drop of the hat kind of guy, but I no longer try to avoid it when appropriate.
