She's an academic and understands nothing about real life, about hiring, firing, marketing, and god forbid, turning a profit. Main Street everywhere has lost faith in the 'elites' who run our financial and political institutions.

Just a guess at the video's conclusion - it is when the price increases are the result of monetary expansion rather than economic growth or supply contraction and real interest rates are zero or negative.

The US government is working very hard in preventing America and the rest of the World economies falling apart due to the 2020 Trump Economic Depression. Unfortunately, the deflationary effects caused by the Trump Depression are unavoidable. The only weapon left to combat future Deflations is Inflation. Whether the government can succeed, we will just have to wait and see.

Question George. Couldn't the Treasury dept use this money in the Treasury General account to start paying off existing and future debt coming due to the Treasury/US Govt. and thereby reduce the debt and by doing this keep the asset/liability ledger without going out of wack? Kinda like if a person started paying in advance their mortgage or car note a few months in advance.
