The fact American companies a alive today and doing so well is by the grace of the Chinese CCP govt when it allowed American companies to access the Chinese markets at a time they were closing . GM and Ford motors were among the most prominent ones. Yes, with the sharing of tech and market access both benefited. If not for that today you see ONLY Chinese companies still around . China wants peaceful rise and has already overtaken US in about every area except for ability to print money. So have peaceful co existence and maybe the dollar will last forever .
