Mattias Janmark placed his stick into the feet of Sam Bennett in the neutral zone, and Bennett went down. There was no call on the play. Tripping, embellishment, or nothing? Have your say!

I would love to see a compilation of both teams this series to see how many times a player goes down and doesn't get right back up. League needs reform.

The worst missed call of this series was the missed delay of game on Florida, that would have given the oiler a 5 on 3. And no it isn't where the puck leaves the stick, that's specific to icing.

It still says "from where it is shot," it doesn't count as a shot until it leaves the stick. When it later says, "If contact with puck occurs while the puck is inside the defending zone," it is taking about deflections. I wanted the Oilers to win, but pretty cut and dry with how it's worded.

@@WolfieMcG It is cut and dry. It says nothing about deflections and it says nothing about where it leaves the stick. It does say where it leaves the stick for icing. You are 100 percent incorrect. I don't understand why people don't get this. It's like they can't read. The words are explicit...

@JC-vy1bo Because we actually understand hockey, it can't be shot until it leaves the stick. It doesn't have to say it. I'm also a level 3 certified referee, have to take a written test and on ice evaluation every year.

@@WolfieMcG so the rules don't have to say it is a rule? You can just interpret it the way you want because you know hockey and have a certification? Get the rule rewritten then because as it is written, you are wrong. If it was about where it leaves the stick, it would have explicitly said so in the rules as it intentionally does regarding icing. Why? Because it can't be implied because only people "who know hockey" can understand what it means.

@JC-vy1bo Just go on the NHL website and look up delay of game video rule book, it explains it there. It's where the puck is positioned when it is in contact of stick.

Just because you can see the stick and their was an actual trip, does not mean that there can't be embellishment.
