As a native of Citrus county in my fifties, I recall how beautiful the bay and springs were in the 70s and unfortunately have witnessed its decline. I can't thank you enough for your efforts to restore our ecosystem to its former glory. Thank you so much for what you are doing for our community!

I remember the no no name storm and I think a lot of the sludge in bay was actually deposited there by the flood. I distinctly remember cleaning about 12-14 inches of sludge from the floor of our house and yard (underneath about 8 inches of reeds). I also remember king spring just prior to the flood and being able to read the placard from the surface and seeing divers at the bottom of the crevice. So while some of that silt and sludge may be a result of plant dying and decaying in the bay I really feel like a large majority of it was deposited by the flood.
