Can I get the original footage of this for my project? I think that your footage is really amazing.

Our family hadn't visited Crystal River in a decade but visited twice in the last two months. We were floored by the amount of healthy, lush grass that we saw downtown and the clarity of the water. Having lived on Tampa Bay for the last 7 years we have seen just the opposite here. This is a heck of a story.

I’m a student at this school and today is my last day as a 5th grader, I enjoyed doing this and I wanna thank y’all. Without y’all our springs would be so horrible.

I remember the no no name storm and I think a lot of the sludge in bay was actually deposited there by the flood. I distinctly remember cleaning about 12-14 inches of sludge from the floor of our house and yard (underneath about 8 inches of reeds). I also remember king spring just prior to the flood and being able to read the placard from the surface and seeing divers at the bottom of the crevice. So while some of that silt and sludge may be a result of plant dying and decaying in the bay I really feel like a large majority of it was deposited by the flood.

As a native of Citrus county in my fifties, I recall how beautiful the bay and springs were in the 70s and unfortunately have witnessed its decline. I can't thank you enough for your efforts to restore our ecosystem to its former glory. Thank you so much for what you are doing for our community!
