Malia Madamalama I felt the same way after my first visit there. I can't find the link, but if you search for "JR Yamanote mp3" you will be able to download a zip file of about 20-30 of these tunes. I did this and use them as ringtones. The quality is also higher than in this video... If I can find them, I'll post the link. :)

I heard the last one every night at Asakusbashi when I was staying there, it was the theme tune to many nights after long days of exploring Tokyo......Wish I was there now.

I much preferred the berry-flavoured MATCH. Every time I’d see it in a machine, I’d have to get some.

The sad reality is you can pay around 100 yen for bottled water in most stations, back in the uk, you’re paying the equivalent of 280 yen at a vending machine

That's another way memories abound of my two visits to Japan as a kid (9 and 12). We rode these trains a LOT-Mom took 'em to work during the day working for the Japanese equivalent of a chemical information firm she worked at back home, whereas Dad and I took 'em knocking around town, particularly Shibuya and Harajuku. One thing, though: I think you got the Ebisu and Gotanda sounds mixed up, as I clearly remember hearing the Gotanda music at the Ebisu station.

I loved this music when I was in the subway in shimbashi with my wife. That day we went to Kamakura and we were so tired coz we walked a lot and it was one of these moments when you realize that you had so much fun but you will go back to real life again, when I went back to Egypt i told her that I miss everything the music of the subway and when we found this on KZfaq we decided to put it in my car while I’m driving
