The chinese sports commentator said that they purposely prolonged the scoring process to repeat Hanyu's performance a few more times!! So cute! Yuzuru Hanyu is the GOAT! ❤‍🔥❤‍🔥❤‍🔥

musicality and emotions dwelling in his pure heart. How the Japanese people are blessed to experience his programs alive, we overseas are not that lucky, but anyhow his aura is shining even over the screens enough to keep us breathles although from far away. I am glad that the Japanese audience has shown by standing ovations how much they appreciate such a treasure Yuzuru represents onthe universal level - well deserved !!! I am poud of the fact that his international career at junior level has actually started in my hometown, where he has won his first JGP back in 2009. My friend who was active at the time in figure scating told me then that this Japanese kid might be the future of male figure scating. How right she was!!! ARIGATO so much for such a special Christmas present by this joung genius wishing him all the best in the year to come, especially for the Olympics Please take care dear Hanyu san and avoid further injuries. Congratulations to the undoubtedly best male figure skater in the history. Hanyu san is simly phenomenal to last for so many years at such a high level as well as to be motivated to continue over and over by finding always new unreachable goals even for good skaters in the world, but not for himself. In my opinion, his main motivation is his love to skate, because only love offers to one strength to go on inspite of so many misfortunes during his long career (serious injuries, surgeries, asthma attacks since early childhood, not to mention mumberous brouses and cuts on dayly basis). Yes, he has always been an imense talent, he has an ideal skster body as for his hight, long legs, arms, fingers, neck, so all these work obviously in his favour. Yes, his body looks so fragile, but is actually built of steellike mouscles and bones packed in fine silky skin enabling him such light seeming jumps, spins and movements on ice. Anyhow, all this is not enough for achieving such longlasting results. The most important thing is hard and persistant work. Yes, he has never got tired of hard training either under his coaches and choreographers or on his own due to Covid pandemics. He is the fighter who has devoted himself entirely to this physically and psychologicaly so hard but beautiful sport letting us enjoy watching his stunning masterpieces on ice and opening in a way his fine soal to the audience to peak a bit into this reachness of inspiration, musicality and

He is just the god of figure skating with beautiful and powerful just and spins!!! It looks so easy on him and not to mention the 4A!!! He did land with two feet and got a -GOE, but he landed it!!! Looking forward to see you in the Olympics 2022!!! We love Yuzuru and 🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵 😍😍😍

The jump did not have enough rotations, so judges downgraded it to 3A.

He's always tired after a free skate, so that's nothing new. He's usually doing okay by the time he jumps onto the first place podium. Honestly it wears me out just watching him. He's a beast on the ice.

What a performance! If he lands the 4A clearly and transform the 3Loop in a quad, the gold medal in Pekin is for him 👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 Hope his ankle gets better in February, it’s obvious he is not still at his 100%, he doesn’t do the toepick jumps for that reason.

I am not sure Hanyu is going to do any Lzs or Fs at all, especially quads. It's not just about his current injury. Lz and F are simply too traumatic for Yuzuru - he has already injured his ankle several times while training 4Lz and F, and by now it's in such a state that it can't be healed completely anymore. As he once explained, he was told that he has a lot of small cracks (I don't know the right word) in his ankle bones, and no surgery or any kind of healing can help that as long as he continues competing and jumping (or even at all). So it's either continue jumping Lz and F risking an injury that would prevent him from competing or even walking normally, or do without them, so he can continue competing for a while yet.

@@Laura.Vanadzina I’m afraid you are right. Maybe that’s why he is so obsessed with the 4A, as he might know it’s the only way to beat Nathan in his situation (not being able to do toepick jumps). But not long ago I’ve seen Yuzu saying in an interview that his dream was to perform all the quads someday, and you know Yuzuru, he is quite serious and realistic, when he says something it’s because he thinks it can be possible for him.

@@pennyinheaven I think one reason is his technique, he doesn’t prerotate like the others, putting all the weight on his foot/ankle. Another reason is that he may have “weak” ankles (comparing to normal people his ankles are iron, you know what I mean). Ankles are his weak spot. Every human has one, or more than one! And athletes also, especially when they have been forcing the body so much since a young age.

@@e.a.g.990 Yeah I was also thinking he already has weak ankles then his techniques aggravated the situation. Yet he continues to skate, thus he becomes smarter at balancing his programs, jumps, and what he wants to achieve. Amazing.

He has not land a clean 4A in an international (ISU sanctioned) competition yet, so he can't be named as the 1st person to land 4A for now :(

Gillis Grafström won 3 consecutive Olympic golds in 1920, 1924 and 1928. So he wouldn't be the first, but he would be the first in nearly 100 years.

I’m so confused by his strategy. He’s added an 4A but removed 4Lo and 4Lz? Is he trying hard not to win the Olympic gold? And this only had 3 successful quads and yet scored 210+? That is Russian level over scoring.

He's stated publicly that the Olympic gold isn't his goal. It's the quad axel. Also domestic competitions always have inflated scores so..

if i'm not mistaken, it's has always been his dream to be the first or someone who landed 4A in competition. Maybe removing 4Lo/Lz is to compensate his strength throughout the program. I don't think gold in the olympic is not his main objective, he has already two golds loll

He’s coming back from injury, so it’s likely he’s looking to upgrade his jumps at the Olympics. Though no, this current jump layout isn’t competitive for gold unless there are mistakes. I wish the program was more exciting! The short was wonderful. This feels like a dirge.
