*"Jumps are important, of course, but figure skating is not only jumps, the artistry is also important"* -Yuzuru Hanyu And that's why I love him so much. Not only because of his cuteness, bubbly personality, and world class talent. I love him, because he really understand the true meaning of something. He really puts his emotions to it, his feelings. Figure skating is not only about jumps, it's about artistry too. To be fact, Figure skating *IS* Art. I love a man who can be talented at something but will never forget the true meaning of that 'thing' he's really passionate about.

@@JamesDurbin101 That's right, but it's more about how different the two guys are. Javier lived alone in Toronto, and had to do most things by himself and had many friends around. it might not look like that but yuzu is a very emotional person. whatever he does he puts emotions to it. he looks bright and bubbly all the time and when that happens he puts all of his happiness into it. when talking about the future or about goals he puts all of his excitement and passion into it. so talking about skating, you can feel the love and the emotion just by looking at him. maybe he wasn't holding back tears and he wasn't even sad, talking about skating touches him in so so so many ways including emotionally.

Honestly, though, when I hear this line, I think of this one interview where he said that since he started skating at 4, he never had time to hang out w/ friends, being on the ice all the time. This puts “I bet my life to skate” in another light, because he bets his health, his career, his future, and not just in a physical sense.

I have known about Yuzuru Hanyu just recently. You see, i live in Greece, where figure skating is not popular at all. But when I accidently saw his FS in Saitama 2019 ,omg, i said this kid is not just another figure skater, he has something. That look of his at the end of the program brought chills all over my body. So, so passioned. Ever since,i have watched all his programs since 2010 many times each and i strongly believe that he is really born to skate. He gives his soul on every performance. He is not just a great jumper, but also an artist. So I wish him not just being THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME (which he is in my opinion) but also THE HAPPIEST OF ALL TIME. He deserves everything. As someone who had watched figure skating than stopped I will say this he is definitely someone to look out for in the 2022 Olympics. His performances always send chills up my spine. He is one of my biggest inspirations and I hope one day that I can be just like him. I can't wait to see how he has improved with covid and everything that has been going on I know that it has been hard on everyone. He is the reason I wanted to come back around the sport at all. Do I thrive to be better than him no I feel like he would be almost impossible to surpass. Do I want to be like him yes. his brings beautiful proformances and inspires so many young people. All the things I can say but I can't think of anything negative and I guess what I'm really trying to say is thank you to him.

He is technically perfect, his artistry is above anything I’ve seen in a long time, possibly ever and he is so incredibly humble in everything he has achieved. He is the complete package. Truely the champion of champions!

I want to see him perform in real life 🥺☹️ and receive the direct charisma and artistry he exudes from the rink, boy that would be an experience of a lifetime! I would definitely cry 😭. I hope he builds a training club, train kids and pass on the legacy of artistic skating that even if he’s gone, it lives on.

For months now I have been watching his performance on various competitions. Even without any words from him, I instantly became his fan. This is the only video where I got to see he talks for quite a while. Listening to his words, looking at his eyes, you just can't deny it. He's born to make history. Figure skating won't be the same without him. Truly one of a kind, there's no one like him. Thank you for uploading this video.

He's the literal reason why I'm watching a figure skating program; in hopes of seeing him perform because I never know what he performs on. I only watch men's figure skating and that's because of Hanyu, I don't like the pairs skating. Before I found Yuzu I didn't like watching figure skating or I only had little interest in figure skating, but now with Hanyu as an inspiration for me it makes me want to watch figure skating to see him perform and try it for myself( eventhough I know I'd fall on my ass).

I can see him to be the iconic FS expert after he retired from competition, to be the one who could change the system of fs judgment. I will always rooting for him no matter what he do or doing. He is a genius... Like real genius, a fs freak who delivering all what he has by heart and devoting himself for this sport.

What I love about him is that he always performs for the people. And he never feels like a champion, that is the way I feel that everyone should act more often. No matter what you do there is more room to get better. Yuzuru Hanyu is amazing at even admitting what he needs work on and I find that fascinating. I always get choked up watching him perform and even watching him speak, I just get so full of emotion. He is an AMAZING speaker and I suggest looking at some of his quotes. They are super motivational and inspiring. Good luck Yuzu!!! Hanyu is actually the reason I started to skate. Thanks for being there!! (>o

He have courage to show his weakness that what i find awesome about him. Like speaking english..show his frustration when he lost in a competiton..let people know how much he loves to win..he shows his expression clearly how happy he is when he win. He shows that he just a normal human being n yet he can achieve his dream through workhard 3 times than others. People can relate to this and understand how hard he work his butt of to be where he is right now and of course to special person like him..who could resist to support him all the way. Sorry for my bad english 😅.
