Fantastic pickups as always mate My next purchase has to be a Japanese Saturn as I really missing out on some fantastic games. Salamander 2 looks absolutely gorgeous.

Cheers Alex, I reckon you will love the arcade shooters on the saturn, so many to choose from. Yeah Salamander 2 is a cracking game, an absolute must !

As always great stuff Nick. I really enjoyed seeing the SG1000 pickups. It’s not something you ever see people showing. Being someone that grew up In the 8bit era it’s cool to see how the Japanese made their 8bit games. I think we did them better in the UK :). I’ve got to say I’d never heard of Captain Lang or Hyper Revethion, every days a school day. The latter didn’t look too bad. You being following me on eBay lol. I also picked up Salamander on the Saturn, in fact it arrived yesterday. I’ve been having so much fun playing my burned copy on the PS that it seemed criminal not to have it and managed to snag it on the Saturn at a reasonable price. I’d like the PSP port as I know it has extra games, including Xexex which I’ve heard is a belter. Take it easy mate.

The Sg1000 is a cool system, the UK 8 bit scene was flooded with games so you were bound to get some amazing ones, I like some of the arcade ports they got in Japan that we didn't get, but you probably right the UK 8bit games did rule pre Famicom. Yeah, you earned that copy of Salamander, your scores are something to be proud off and a copy of Salamander should be pride of place on your shelf ! Cheers Dylan.

I just found your channel and subscribed. What a beautiful game room you’ve got. Like you, I live for 2D pixel art and all the systems that you collect for, I love as well. I don’t have nearly the collection you do but I’ve been trying to build up my Japanese imports these days. I’m in the states so everything is auctions and such. I can’t wait to go through your videos and catch up. Thanks for sharing your collection with us.

Thanks, appreciate the kind words, Yeah unfortunately thats the way I am also picking up the majority of my games too through auctions these days, I would love for a trip over to Japan and do a bit of game hunting, but online hunting will have to do for now😂 Cheers for checking out my channel !

Nice, a new video, it's already been a good morning today even before seeing your video, opened up a drawer expecting to find some junk but there was a Japanese saturn hiding in there lol the one in my setup had been very iffy and pretty much a non worker now so I'm really happy, just plugged it in and it's a good 'un, just played an hours worth of shooters, tiger 2, strikers 1945 2 and going to stick on Kingdom grandprix after watching this video. Nice early sega stuff, love the artwork on those games, very cartoony, gulkave looked interesting. I remember buying a rambo arcade pcb off ebay for a pound about six years ago hahaha If your a fan of your shooters games like fire mustang are worth playing but like you say it's in the passable category, divine sealing hahaha no further comment needed. Nice, love the sally package, great value too, I've only ever put time into the og salamander, one of my favourite old school shooters by konami. I've never seen played much of bokan, will fire that up later I reckon. Top grabs as always 👍

Nice one Craig, sound like you are going be very busy with some belting shooters this afternoon ! Gulkave is definitely worth a go, if only to see how compile started off, but the weapon system is completely random unless you know all 16 weapons slots and can quickly calculate what you will get next 😂 hahaha it would surprise me if thats what happened mate ! I think I even have a dataeast 'real ghostbusters' Pcb somewhere at my mum's place... well I did at some point 😂😂😂 cheers mate and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Some really cool pick ups Nick. We used to have the Japanese version of Rambo III as well. Such a fun game. Yet another game I’d love to have back in the collection one day (but probably won’t😭)

Great pick ups as always, captain havoc looked decent. Not a game I've played. Huge fan of salamander, great shooter. Batman forever looks great, reminds me of the snes brawler.

Thanks David, if you like your megadrive platformers then you prob enjoy it, a bit of a sonic rip off but there is nothing wrong with that ! Salamander is such a classic, they should off brought out that pack to the west ! I would say its like the SNES batman on steroids 😂😂 really fun, definitely recommend it, but I have a feeling the PAL version is very pricey ! Have a great weekend mate.

Those SG-1000 boxes are really nice items even if the games aren't great I quite like the look of Hyper Reverthion even if it is a bit simplistic Would love Batman Forever but that's not easy to get, all versions are dear here from what I've seen Salamander is a £100 game on UK eBay, I've just ordered a repro🤣 Great stuff Nick 👍✌️

Thanks mate, yeah the SG1000 is a nice system to pickup games for, some obscure ports and early games from developers that went on to bigger and better stuff! Hyper Reverthion is worth a try, think I paid around 1000 Yen for it so its not that bad for the price, just not much depth to it. The Japanese version of Batman forever is definitely the cheapest region to get, but you are right its not a common one, I had to wait a while before i found my copy for a reasonable price. £100 for Salamander is insane, i think I paid half that. I guess with the weak pound and crazy import tax it racks up teh cost. Hope you had a great weekend James.

Not every day i see someone acknowledging SG-1000. I thought I was the biggest Sega fan around. People only care about Genesis or Dreamcast.

Yeah there are some really cool early arcade ports on the SG-1000, very under rated system.

Doesn’t look like there’s anything divine about divine sealing 😁; even the flashing backgrounds seem headache inducing 😂. Bokan however seems far more my cup of tea 👏. Must confess I’ve never played Rambo 3!! The Batman Forever game looks really decent. Batman returns on the snes is one of my brawler go-to’s. Cheers 👍😊🕹️

Agreed mate, its very painful to play 😂. Very surprised you havent played Rambo 3 as I have seen John Rambo photo bombing your insta 😂 , had many fond memories playing back in the day, cant say it aged well so if you dont have nostalgia for it, I am not sure you will enjoy it, Bokan and Batman on the other hand I think you will love ! Nice adds there Nick. I'd never even heard of Hyper Reverthion. I like the presentation but the game itself seems lacking. Doesn't quite have the charm of Virtual On. I have the Japanese and pal copy of Captain Lang High Seas Havoc. I prefer the Japanese version as the opening level is missing from the pal version for some reason and the game was made harder too. Salamander Deluxe I also picked up. I really wanted it for Salamander 2 and I must say I found myself really enjoying it. As a beat em up fan I'm gonna have to disagree on batman forever. I own it on the PlayStation and I think it's trash. Controls are far too loose for my liking and just as a Batman game it makes little sense 😅. Nah if you want a great Batman Brawler it's got to be Batman Returns on the Super Nintendo. Super tight controls. Can't go wrong.

Cheers Rob, Yeah Hyper Reverthion just feels a bit empty and unfinished, but you are right it looks like a lot of work went into the character design. Interesting that they changed the levels between regions for High seas havoc ! Salamander 2 its a great game but the ranking is a bit of a pain, especially if you go in to the 2nd level boss without loosing a life and he is in hype mode, then you start level 3 underpowered if you loose a life ! For Batman forever I have no idea if they did a good job on the port for the PS1, obviously the Saturn is effectively running on the same hardware as the arcade so would be the system to go for, but either way its sound like you will not enjoy it on any system 😂😂😂😂 I completely understand why you dont like it and for sure its not everyones cup of tea, but I had a blast playing it in small doses. I totally agree the SNES Konami Batman returns is a fantastic classic, while Forever is like a Jerry Bruckheimer movie sequel, shallow, over the top, doesn't make sense, doesn't require any thinking......but its still fun. TBH I am not sure it suits being a home game, I can imagine this is best enjoyed in the arcade with the sound effects blasting ! Take it easy dude

@@red7even52 Complete dud. I'm not sure what the developers were doing with this game. When I bought it for the PlayStation I wanted to give it another chance but it just left me cold.
