Very interesting slabs. They will make beautiful tables or countertop. 👍👍👍👍

I would like to ask what is your average saw cut thickness or width? And have your ever had a blade snap or break?

Very impressive I cut a lot of Camphor in Southern USA, I wonder how the Smell is of the Japan's Camphor, nice slabs, not so much of the blade but the carriage

From watching that video, one or more of the "teeth" on that band saw blade have more set (that is teeth bent to increase the kerf or saw cut width) that the others do. That is the reason there are regular irregular marks on the planks as they are cut

John Leake I noticed that also, if you watch the blade there is definitely hanged in colour. Never seen this in any of his other videos, I wonder if it is blunt or of the wood in very hard.

But did you notice the customer's way of handling his slabs? With an adz-ice-pick, I have never seen that before. Ever. I would not change the blade after seeing this. Mr Sasada usually changes blades after 3 hours,(this is my understanding) and his expertise in cutting and handling logs is unmatched, in my opinion. Check out his video library, see some spectacular product.

@@goatamongsheep4296 As a former lumber company employee, Mr Sasada's actions around that bandsaw are not safe and would never be permitted in the USA

Why is your sawing speed so inconsistent?
@tip00194 жыл бұрын
I think the blade bends at which point he waits a sec to keep the cut straight. With small logs he just goes thru them like butter without this stopping
