You know I love to go thrifting (see my come thrift with me vlogs) so I wanted to share some of my online thrifting adventures! I've bought pieces second-hand on Depop before, but I didn't think I'd find so many cute pieces from my wishlist, like a coach pillow tabby, miumiu mini skirt, gucci jackie bag and more.
With brands like Chanel, Dior, Gucci and Fendi on the Yahoo Auctions Japan site, I was able to find some amazing vintage designer pieces online for incredible prices. Plus if you're interested in second-hand, preloved and sustainable shopping, buying one of a kind high quality pieces second hand seemed like something I wanted to investigate! Love the short sleeve turtle neck and the colour looks really nice on you! I think the cashmere jumpers are different enough that you can justify both because they serve quite different purposes!

You found some really cool things. All the clothes you picked out are super cute and suit you so well. I thought the darker blue cashmere piece looked lovely with your current hair colour, very cozy sat by a fire vibe. I adore the skirts, such cute designs. I hope the repairs go smoothly.

I've had the same issue with the seam splitting in the back of a garment! Luckily for me, even though it's old fashioned, I had listened to my mother who always insisted that I needed to wear a slip with certain garments so my underwear wasn't on full display. I was also lucky that my cubicle was close to the door (it happened at work) and it was early so there weren't that many people in the office yet. I was able to run to the restroom and quickly sew up the back of my dress with my travel sewing kit. I definitely sat very carefully the rest of the day since I didn't think my emergency stiches would hold up to a lot of sudden movements!

I found a Douney and Burke bag at a consignment store for only $40 US two days ago. I was so excited! I know it’s not the most popular designer bag but it’s my first. I’m so happy to have it!

I think the grey cashmere top suits you very well. I love that colour on myself but I’m not the same size as you. I think it looks good on you and you can add a lighter colour to freshen the look up.

It's the mui mui skirt for me! so flipping cute! There is a great chance i could be going to tokyo for 4 days at the start of dec (pretty much just a tag along for my husband and his friend who have an event! but it does mean some shopping days just me on my own, I've had my eyes on louboutin heels for a hot second and being a size 6 shoe size i know i might just get them! last time i went there was quite a few second hand for a steal but i was not ready but i think i am this time so wish me luck!

I actually have a pillow tabby in the smaller size, the more pastel looking ombre. The color is everything I could have ever wanted, but I definitely wish I had the option to buy it in the size you got! The smaller size makes me have to be really thoughtful with what I bring with me.

The fitted sweater/jumper would look beautiful under a blazer. I can’t remember if you have one from your closet clean out. The bags are an awesome find. Love it all.

I also love the "thrill of the hunt" with online thrift/vintage sites. Loved all the items shown in this video. I would keep the short sleeve blue cashmere sweater. If she declines to be styled easily, than re-thrift. That silver bag is my favorite.

It's just so fun! And feels so much more rewarding when you find something good because it's a ~unique deal~ and it's giving something a second life! I think I'll keep the shirt for now (it's so comfy and soft and the fit is great) but we'll see how she fares next winter. The silver bag has genuinely gotten so much wear already! I love it :,,,)

Making another comment lol. But I've also noticed they are very strict on what damaged is and what is new. Sometimes it's obviously dirty and damaged but other times I'm like yes I can see someone has hold the bag before ?? So it's always good to inspect the pictures cause very often they are perfectly fine I think 😊 And congrats on finding that miumiu skirt you've been wanting 💖

I was interested and looked at the buyee site. Saw a LV I liked but was not sure how you can make sure the item you buy is authentic. What suggestions or tips do you have?

OMG I had to click out of the video before you even showed the first item. I got a furla bag at an op shop for $12 a year or so ago and it obviously felt like great quality but I never looked it up or new it was that fancy lol. I looked it up and the exact ones have sold for $100-$200 in used condition way worse than mine. I've been schlepping that thing all over the place like it was a $12 bag!

As a fellow efficient walker I can report I have had the exact same issue with the back seam on that type of pencilly straight skirt just gradually getting higher over time... and that's when I got into A-line and circle skirts. 🥲
