Hi everyone!
I went on a small winter trip to Yamagata prefecture the other week. I've never seen so much snow in my life! I think this has been one of my favourite trips so far, Ginzan Onsen had been on my to-do list for a while, and it was absolutely magical to see it in person!
For anyone (that is a foreigner) in Japan and planning a trip to the Tohoku area I recommend getting the JR east pass to travel. That's what I did for this trip, it's a 5-day pass with unlimited rides on the JR train, and for ¥20,000 I definitely think it was worth it :).

The moment I saw the thumbnail, I thought it resembled spirited away's onsen and I was right! It looked majestic and somehow romantic. Idk why but it did felt like that for me, maybe because of the gas lamps XD! The skiing expedition must've been sooo cold! If it was me, I wouldn't have lasted even five minutes since I'm no good with cold, even air conditioners give me the chills (goodbye to my dreams of living in JP I guess 😭 lol). But you gotta admit the ride in the gondola thingy was magical and peaceful, everything just white ahhh. And the view from the top of the mountain was indeed breathtaking! Good job reaching the peak! Hope you get to return there when there's no snow. Also good job not slipping on the snow! I do have a few questions if you don't mind. First, was it difficult to get a 4 days off from work in JP? I always hear/read this scary stories that workers can never get some vacation time since their companies are strict. Second, was the ginzan onsen full a the time? Would've been amazing to see what's inside (I'm just wondering why, and tbh im already contented with looking from the outside. Third, was the ginzan town small, like the town only consist of that single lane? Lastly, how did you survive after getting off from the foot bath?! XD genuinely curious since its much more colder when youre leaving a hot spring. Do take care, I saw you wrapping a scarf around your hand while your lugging your suitcase. Please wear gloves next time! Thank you for uploading and again take care💗🤗

Hey Bev! Haha it was defiantly cold in Yamagata! But was worth it for the views/ experience! I work in a international company not a fully Japanese one so I’ve been lucky enough to take leave when I want to. I also haven’t used much of my annual leave because of Covid, so that’s why I can travel so often this year! I would have also loved to stay inside the inns in Ginzan onsen but unfortunately they are super difficult to book! I heard you need to book almost a year in advanced. I hope I can stay there on day though 😊. The town is a lot smaller than I thought, it’s the one lane so there’s actually not much to do in the town itself. I think half a day would be enough to see the whole place. The foot bath warmed us up a bit so it wasn’t too bad getting out! 🥰 Takes for the sweet comments! I was a little underprepared for the cold 😆 but I know for next time! Take care as well!💕

New subscriber here, greeting from California!! Just beautiful camera work and editing! When I forget where I'm at and just fall in love with the beauty of the shots you took of the places you visited, well, thank you for taking me along! I visited Japan just before the pandemic hit and toured the major tourist spots; I hope to again travel soon and visit the countryside. But on the beauty and artistry of your vlogs, thank you!! Now I'm gonna catch up and binge your other vlogs ;-D

These vlogs are just so good! Please keep doing them! 🙏 If I am not wrong, vlogs in English about other places from Japan apart from Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto (and a few more other most popular/tourist places) are not too common. Japan has a lot of others beautiful places worth visiting, and it is interesting to know more about them (and adding them to the travel wish list 😉😊). Also, your style of videos are super cute! 🤗Thanks a lot for sharing them!🙌

Great vlogs..I'm watching while I work today. It is amazing how much is in English there! I have always wanted to visit Japan but was hesitant since I don't speak the language. Feel more comfortable planning a trip there after your vlogs.

Hi, I'm a new fan of your vlogs! I don't know why your vlogs only got recommended to me a week ago, because I should've known you sooner. I've been binge watching your vlogs like crazy because they're sooooo soothing and peaceful, and it brings me back so many fond memories of my time in Japan too. :') Thank you for your hard work, and please continue to vlog, it makes me feel like I'm there travelling with you too.
