Not sure which pleases me most: His work or the fact that his work makes him happy.

I just watched this whole video with a big smile on my face. It’s wonderful to see a talented artist so enthusiastic and happy about his work. 11/10

Mistranslation 翻訳ミスがあります. He said he gets his clay and his style from 栃木県・とちぎけん -> Tochigi Prefecture, 茨城県 じゃない not Ibaraki Prefecture. He reinforced it by saying he makes his style in 益子焼・ましこやき -> Mashiko Town Styled Pottery, which is a famous pottery town in Tochigi Prefecture known for Hamada Shoji. Just for anyone trying to look up what he's talking about.

@@marigam indeed you are right. Clover studio revised the video 5 years ago and added subtitles to it. You can check some old comments and you will find one posted by the original poster of the video dated 5 years in which states the revision of the subtitles.

I love the idea of mixing clays. I'm trying to use up the clay I've been digging out of my garden. Maybe when I can grow decent potatoes I'll get some different clay.

From one old potter to a young one, you will always be learning and loving the clay. It will teach you so much
Your robots really made me smile. :-) Wonderful work all around. Thank you for sharing. Wonderful!
@morganolfursson25606 жыл бұрын
The robots are hilarious . I don't know if you understand Japanese but he said that they are actually incense burners and when the incense is burning inside and the smoke comes out it looks like the robot is broken and smoking from the inside . This creation is called walking incense but because the Japanese word for incense is Ro and the the Japanese words for walking and person is BO TO , when pronounced in Japanese it sounds like RO BOT'TO , or Robot ! This is brilliant, the creation is delightful and the name is so smart .

I really like the clay he uses for his robots, does he say what kind it is?
@morganolfursson25606 жыл бұрын
Yes he says that it's a mix of red clay and white clay to which he adds a bit of black clay . Whatever that means . I know nothing about ceramic , but i understand Japanese .
