I mean it’s good and all if you need something as a protection but if you’re talking about protection from men, then shouldn’t we educate them instead to control their urges and respect women? Therefore no protection is needed from men when they are nurtured to be a respectful being.

More than considering hijab as culture, its actually an obligation for us muslim women to wear hijab. But yeah these days hijab is becoming more as material that considered as fashion. The original purpose of hijab is like what Poko-chan and Oku-chan said. Its an obligation, and act to protect and respect muslim women. Btw thank you for the video Nobu and Shun! ^^

Agree...but purpose of wearing hijab is actually to cover aurat (certain limb that need to cover)for hair part....cover the aurat is actually an obligation for Muslim....wearing hijab is one of the way of cover the aurat (for women).. that's why it's more than consider hijab as culture...

What poko said is really on point, even I'm surprised myself that he knew that fact, well its a good thing that he knows about it, hijab is to cover woman's beauty as well as a sign of honour/dignity as a woman because in Islam, woman are highly regarded. some of them wear "cadar" that cover their mouth and nose,only leaving the eyes part open, the purpose is to not attract the attention of the mans and only show yourself to your husband.but nowadays hijab are design to appeal yourself, making you more noticeable by others, defeating the real purpose of wearing hijab, kinda sad to see how islam has changed since the past.

@@takiyaazrin7562 slavery was there even before islam , n they did way worse things to the slaves , men be it or women. Islam tho did not forbid slavery , but in the first place incouraged people to buy slaves to set them free, But if you don't, you still have rules according as to how to treat slaves , Concerning women slaves for example , intercorse is permitted with their owner , but if she conceives , he is no longer permitted to sell her as slave, his son is legal and free (not the man's slave) But thank god slavery nowadays is no more . Also , prophet Mohamed ﷺ said : three kinds of people have a double reward :" ....(till the third is) and a man who owned a slave girl so he desciplined her well and educated her well then freed her and married her) .

@@devarain I know this is a joke, but I don’t think that would be good. Anime usually portrays the female characters as waifu-able and the purpose of a hijab is to be modest. It would be really culturally disrespectful

I'm impressed with your friend's knowledge about hijab 👍 hijab was obligated for Muslim women as mentioned in the Al-Quran; so that other people will recognize us as muslim & being protected. Hijab can be fashionable, but we need to always remind ourselves about the purposes of hijab. The key is moderate. We can be presentable without jeopardizing the Islamic rules & values. The rules is to cover hair, neck & chest & the whole body, the clothes must be loose & modest~ 😎

@@arcticFolder I'm so sorry if it sounds rude but I would say that hijab style is not really covered since the purpose of hijab is to cover our neck, chest (if your shirt is tight) and hair. It would be better if u change the hijab style

@@eolhcmn nah, you're not rude and i never say it is my style bcause i'm not. i'm just saying that it is one of the style and i do know the purpose of us wearing hijab but still some people do wear it like that. even if they wear loose clothing or anything, we never knew how our neck is seen, bcause sometimes, the hijab was transparent or too tight around our neck, so defeating the purpose still.

Lol first time I look at Poko I thought he's our Malaysian diver, Bryan Nickson. 😆 Well done NobuShun! From my simplified observation, Japanese seems to have an above average knowledge about muslim women's hijab and Islam in general. That alone gave an impression that Japanese people value knowledge of the world. In my opinion, hijab or women hair covering is primarily about modesty. To a certain extent, an overly fashionable hijab might be a little misleading and trigger some vanity which might be a complete opposite of the main purpose of wearing it. Anyway all ladies that you shown to your friends are definitely kawaii. 😍

The TV commercial hijab is not the real way to wear the hijab for Muslims. But there are some people (whether Muslims or other religions) who wear it that way and categorize it as hijab. Wallahualam

Am wearing hijab as well and yes there are so many fashion style of it (i think in Malaysia only this fashion of style evolving from time to time). When u search hijab in Malaysian online portal there'll be millions of brands and style and thats the beauty of it. It will always evolve 😊

The girl with hijab for Blakely Ad was inspired from oil painting "Girl with a Pearl Earring" . The painter was Johannes Vermeer, dated 1665.. in my opinion, it was hijab since people in the 17th century were religious and it was the time the Roman Catholic Church established a number of Missions to spread Christianity in the New World.

Yah the first one i guess thats not a hijab Because hijab not only cover your hair but also the neck part(what should i call it i dont know) and chest .some might only cover their hair for fashion purpose but thats not only it.
