I'm Filipino. I went to college in Japan. Japanese are very caring people too. I really think Japanese and Filipino culture are different but we compliment each other. There shouldn't be any reason why there isn't better cooperation between both countries.

My sister has a Japanese co worker and me and my dad cater their staff's food, she even calls my dad, * papa* the same way with my sister. Then my dad would call her (anak)child. She's very nice and sweet.

Fun Fact : Filipinos really love Japan more than any other foreign countries. It is also easy to ask or communicate with them even though they are hardly to speak english. One thing I noticed to Japanese people, They understand english but they didn't used to.

Most specially I really like how japanese preserved the Nature.. even though Japan is expenssive but worth it to live there someday.. i wish i could visit because it not the weather like winter we dont have that but because your culture and ours is different but for me Japanese culture is worth to know also.. we filipinos we valued others like foriegners we are so friendly . I think what i love about filipinos and me being filipino is that we always share a smile and laughter.

I have a feeling that if any celebrity from Japan is marketed in the Philippines, the Filipinos will readily embrace them and might even surpass the popularity in the Philippines of Korean celebrities. Remember when the actor of Rurouni Kenshin went to the Philippines to promote the movie, they were surprised by the craziness of the fans. Rurouni Kenshin was just a niche market, how much more if they market the pop idols. I think JPop will be a hit in the Philippines.

In reason number 1 I believe she meant that japanese people are more reserved. Ofc they do care about others. I have never seen a well mannered country than Japan. However, most of Japanese people prioritizes academics and careers than socializing. That’s why whenever she goes to Philippines she feels like she’s really in a different world since filipino people are really good in socializing. Specially when we see foreigners. We are very welcoming of foreigners :)

Just got back from the philippines about a month ago from America. The reasonable price thing is no joke. I was so worried that i didn't have enough money for the entire trip, but then i spent 3x less than what i though i was going to spend for everything we did. Also the weather part is true too, my (now) fiancee was always so worried and made sure to bring towels with her because i sweat so much while i was there. A common thing they do is take a little towelette and hang it on the back of your collar so it can absorb the sweat on your back.

When this pandemic over, you should come here in the Philippines to experience the hospitality of the people and the beauty of our country.

Not only philippines but japan is also a great place. Once i visited my grandmother who lives in japan, i had so much fun there! It also has unique places and foods in which you can't find or rather rare in the philippines. But of course, every places has different characteristics and beauty. Mangoes are around 500 yen per kilo (4-6 pcs) depending on size. Baguio is nice to live in because it’s permanently cold there even summer. It’s colder around December to February that you may need to wear jackets outside. What she meant about Japanese people not caring for others perhaps is about being friendly and accommodating to others. 😊 New sub here. ❤
