I think it depends here in the Philippines when it comes to trashes. You can't just leave trashes on streets. You can only leave trashes only to the places where there's a specific worker designated for cleaning the trash. But for example, it's a public market, you should put the trashes on the trash can. But it's a cinema or fastfood, you can leave it since someone will do the work.

The eyebrows and the lip pointing is 100 percent accurate. Edit: Sari-sari means assorted or mixed. Basically, a sari-sari store is almost like an all in one shop in the Philippines for basic necessities like canned goods, soap, shampoo, toothpaste, cellphone load, etc.
@shapi9861
@shapi9861 3 жыл бұрын
I know sari-sari store was already explained by most of the commentors here but "sari sari" means "variety" in Filipino. Stores like these can be found everywhere in the Philippines. It's like a Filipino-styled convinience store but these are much smaller and commonly built at home. Pretty much a "home business"

It’s called FILIPINO TIME. I get frustrated with my friends too so I tell them to come one hour before the actual time so that we would all meet at the same time😆 Sometimes when I say, “I’m here where are you?” Friend would say, “I just woke up” or “I’m on my way” but it takes at least an hour i wanna cry. 😭

Sari-sari store is like a convenience store but smaller in terms of area and the goods that are sold are limited but you can still buy basic commodities. Very common in the Philippines, you can easily find them in residential areas because when you ran out of cooking oil or coffee stick or soysauce, you can buy those in 5 mins if the neighborhood have sari-sari stores.

@@cjchannel1911 Even if there is no trash can outside the door, people still need to be responsible with their trash. Pick up your trash, go find the nearest trash can, and throw it in there. Very simple & easy. Let the cleaners clean up whatever mess that remained in the theaters.

@@cjchannel1911 I'm not saying the job of a janitor is not important nor that it shouldn't exist. Having janitors & cleaners are still important. I'm saying that we should at least help them even just a little bit by putting our trash in the trash cans like a responsible person, and then just let them clean up the rest of the remaining mess in the theaters. There's nothing wrong with helping a little. And it's just simple common sense. If you have trash, put it in the trash can. They're not going to lose their jobs just because a few people are responsible & sensible enough to know where to put their trash (which is the trash can and not the seats & floor).

I don't agree that Filipinos are generally late. I'm a Filipino and our parents taught us to be punctual. Also, the culture in our church embraces punctuality as well. Church service always starts on time. So I think it depends on the person's values. It has nothing to do with Filipino culture. 🙂

When you're late, take your time. That's so me 10 years ago. Haha! But it all changed when I worked in BPO, dealing with Americans. The hated lates and is always on time. So I'd better be, if not, bye bye work. 😅

Sari sari store is a mini shop that sale anything, I mean like ingredients, can foods, drinks, hair tie, and maybe chead toys. It's inside a house, sari sari store is inside a house so it's more free space outside

As a Filipino college student commuting prior to the pandemic, tricycle fares are still kind of expensive for me. Very inefficient, and lots of smoke emission for a small unit of transportation. I prefer riding on pedicabs ngl.

sari sari stories just like a mini convenience store but the difference is that you have to say what you want to buy to the person who is looking after the sari-sari store and he or she will get it for you Sorry i'm bad at explaining things😅

Sari-sari stores are small stores in the neighborhood where you can buy daily essentials like a bottle of soda, a canned good that’s not found in your pantry. It’s a small convenient store.

HAHAHA that's right when i'm late, i do take my time too. i mean was late in one class when i was still in school but i did take my time walking around the campus, even stopping by the cafeteria to get breakfast and coffee because i was confident that my professor would be more late than i am. 😏

@@blallalaksksks6885 HAHAH tama naman. Kaya lang 3 lates = 1 absent diba. So minsan, iniiwasan ko ring malate. Depende na rin sa teacher. Yung iba ng-attendance before class, yung iba after class na nagaattendance kasi magquiquiz, yung quiz nyo yun na yung attendance nyo.

Sari sari store is like a mini convenience store where you can buy your needs at a cheap and affordable price and also you can buy there per pieces, not just a whole of the product. It's very helpful especially to those people who doesn't have that much money because buying in a sari sari store can help you save money because they're selling products at a low price.

Jessica is really fluent in English since she lived for 9yrs and studied in the Philippines. I guess the Philippines is now the English Learning Center of South East Asia since many Asians and even Russians and other Europeans are studying there. In fact there are already English Schools owned by Japanese and Koreans. FYI, English and Tagalog are the Two National Languages of the Philippines. BTW, Sar-Sari (Sari-Sari Store) is a Tagalog word which means "Variety or Assorted", which is simply Variety Store or General Merchandise Store.
