やだ! Hahha. Yes. That is much of Frank. You saying "ファゲート” made me LOL. He was speaking English in a Japanese accent, you were saying it not knowing it's an offensive term for a gay man. (But in 420 BLAZE IT FGT it's considered more of a joke, not offensive) Very entertaining。...まーーーす (礼)

By the way, a fun thing about Frank: his English subtitles at the bottom when he speaks Japanese are often wrong! As a joke. Look at 3:45 ... the English is "Are you ready to have some fun?"

I like the Osaka dialect because of how brash and direct it seems compared to how people seem to speak in Tokyo. It's definitely a dialect with a lot of character.
@fomorians
@fomorians Жыл бұрын
Yeah, in Osaka they tell it like it is and their Japanese is a lot more emotionally expressive, not cold and formal like Kanto, and is probably easier for foreigners to learn. Interestingly, when a Kansai or Osaka person goes to Kanto they often adopt the Kanto dialect, but Kanto people will not do the same if they go to Kansai BUT there's a lot of Japanese comedians and TV personalities who are from other parts of Japan but they adopt the Osaka dialect because it fits the persona better. It's possible Joji makes his Kansai dialect a lot stronger for the comedic effect.

He started doing Filthy Frank in college hoping to boost his musical career, as “a parody of everything horrible on the internet”. I tend to think of the character as a 4chan version of Hen na Ojisan. I’d be interested in seeing you react to some old variety shows. I feel like I would learn something about Joji’s sense of humor. The character became so popular he got stuck in it, and he ultimately had to quit for health reasons. It seems to have made it harder to get his music career started. When he dropped his first album, he tried to keep it a secret from the Filthy Frank fans. He just dropped his second album! You should definitely do a reaction video to some of his music. He does have a really nice voice. Thank you for all the videos!

As much as I like your Japanese accent when you speak English ( sorry, but I just think it's cute ) it's nice to hear you speak Japanese. I'm slowly learning Japanese bit by bit, so hearing native speakers and learning to notice the words I already know is good practice. Plus I learned about bit about the Osaka-ben for the first time today. And, as always, your reactions to Filthy Frank's videos are always entertaining. Asagi-san.. Phil desu! Thank you for this video! I've just found your channel and so far have watched a few videos, this is the first one in Japanese that I have watched. I have recently started learning Japanese, and so far have a few basic phrases, can read and write hiragana and most of katakana, and recognise a VERY small amount of kanji, 難しい for example (it's appropriate 🤣).. I've decided to focus on grammar before vocabulary, so now when I listen to spoken Japanese, I know what it is I should be listening to. It makes it easier to distinguish words, even if I don't know them yet. I just wanted to say what a really nice voice you have! Often it can be difficult as a new learner, but I actually understand a lot more of what YOU say, than I do most other native Japanese speakers that I follow, even some of the language teachers! What words I don't understand, I still recognise as words and could probably write them in hiragana based on what you say. May I ask, if you read this, what part of Japan do you come from? I wonder if it's a regional accent thing, or perhaps you simply have a really nice voice... Either way, thank you! Arigatou gozaimashita.. With love from the UK! (edit.. just got to the part where you say you were raised in Tokyo.. so that answers my question, it's not a regional thing.. I follow quite a few people from Tokyo and most don't speak quite as clearly as you, thank you)

4th time seeing filthry frank. And I gotta say that his comedy seems to be a derivative of "Gaki no Tsukai", just far more crude. xD And seeing an angelic being such as Asagi reacting to it, as a normal person, really juxtapose it, to make the whole thing even funnier. xD
