Hi Asagi. Thank you for the live chat. Did I mention the drummer Senri Kawaguchi today? She's not just any drummer, she's one of the best alive. As an example, this 8 year old recording. "Blowing Luv/ 高木里代子pf、川口千里dr、塩田哲嗣b" In the meantime Senri has matured and initiated the group "The Jazz Avangers". On the old recording you can unfortunately only hear the pianist Riyoko Takagi - 高木里代子positioned on the other side . It can be seen from this perspective. "LunaSol(月と太陽)/高木里代子Pf、塩田哲嗣B、川口千里Dr " And here is a recording that raised the question from friends of mine, why does this exceptional pianist have to present herself like this? What should I say? There are no boundaries in Japan! "うる星やつら「ラムのラブソング」弾いてみた♡ /高木里代子 " Wishing the Smith family a great week. Sorry for the adverts, I'm a music junkie and have to compulsively spread the awesomeness, the creativity, the passion of Japan.

I wouldn't say it's more of a mispronunciation but it's more of americanizing brands and words so that it's easier for Americans to understand it and say it. The same happens when speaking Italian words or French or any other language other than English.

Some European country's use the same alphabet pronounced sound like Japanese, only not the accent ofcourse. Specially, A, I, N, Y, T, E, O, Z sounds almost the same.

I wish more women had this perspective. Im from the US, and american woman have become toxic! Thats why i want to move to japan. All Japanese women are far better than the women in the US! Plus most of you are beautiful on the inside. The opposite of here. Women here are beautiful on the outside and completely ugly on the inside.

Growing up I thought the name 'Toyota' was Native American because of the way everyone pronounced it. Like 'Dakota' or 'Lakota'. I once said "Hey, where did the Toyota tribe originate in?"

Subaru is better than Mitsubishi and Toyota, because while Mitsubishi can only give you diamonds, and Toyota give you only rings, Subaru can give you stars.

I once heard that such words are mispronounced incorrectly by non-speakers of that language, but are correct in the language those people do speak. So they're wrong in Japan when an American says them, but are correct in America, for example.

It's funny that if you pronounce them in German, it's correct or almost correct in many cases, but in English it's wrong.

Wrong is wrong. It should be wrongly or incorrectly, these are adverbs wheras wrong is an adjective and therefore used incorrectly in the title of your video. You’re welcome.

I take no offense to any of this. I actually make an effort to pronounce proper nouns correctly. Whether it's a person's name, or a company name, or a product name. I would just like to mention that it's Americans who have more of a tendency to use use the "Big I" ("eye"), where Brits would use the shorter "i" (sm"i"th). Brit's tend to say "Nick-On", Where American's say N-eye-con" Also "privacy" "vitamin" show this difference. That's not to say any of us are doing it correctly, but there are dozens (hundreds depending on your view) versions of English, and we all mess things up in different ways.

It's so hard for English speakers to understand that there are other languages in the world that they try to impose their pronunciation on the words of those other languages.

As Spanish I can say we pronounce all the brands correctly... Except Casio, but that's just because we don't have the |sh| sound in our language. Curiosity: American brand Nike came from the Greek goddess named Nikè, pronounced |Nike'|, not |Naik|. In Spain we usually say |Nike| but some (less) people say |Naik|.
