what i love about japanese spiderman is that it is literally spiderman kamen rider: -he has a bike and race with it -his enemy is an army invanding Earth -he has a kid in the group, a professor and two womans -he becomes basically a spider cyborg -even the animations looks the same -don't even start on the soundtrack for most of this -tbh just give him a belt already even his villains look like they're from kamen rider, if you told me the same team made it and the first og kamen rider show i would believe

Pretty much. So much so that this version of Spider-Man was increadibly influential in the creation of Super Sentai, as both Mecha and Sentai where already a thing, yet neither was like the Super Sentai we know today. Spider-Man, along side the likes of Kamen Rider, established many of the tropes and themes of the genre, and Leopardon is recognised as being pretty much the biggest reason behind more and more Sentai shows having big mechas fighting big monsters. Leopardon is pretty much the reason we have things like the Megazord.
