I bought a travel bottle bidet. Just a bottle with a spray nozzle that costs 10$. It makes you feel fresh, like when you just came out of a shower. You'll never want to use TP again.

Did you read the instructions on the back of the toilet paper package.... What we really need is legislation to force manufacturers of toilet paper to include instructions with pictures for the illiterate and foreigners. So, everyone can understand how to properly use American toilet paper. With proper education, everyone can enjoy American toilet paper without the splatter and smears...

The "forests" that are being chopped down for toilet paper are mostly just trees grown to become toilet paper. A huge portion of that industry is in Wisconsin, where they have been managing their forests and lumber as a renewable resource since the 1880s. You chop a tree down, turn it into paper, lumber or another product and just plant another tree, or two, in its place to repeat the cycle.

That still doesn't seem good for the environment though, growing the same plant like that would drain the soil of the nutrients it uses. Or they would change the location of planting for the paper which just those the same thing over more land. Combined with the CO2 required to transport the trees and make toilet paper, with the negative health effects of toilet paper. There is still a lot of merit in what SP is saying. We really should switch

You should definitely wipe with toilet paper first, then wash with water. It's not a good idea to shoot water at the chunks. They will splatter.

I can tell u have never used bidets from your flawed logic. The correct order is wash then wipe(to dry). Also they don't splatter, if anything, everything stays inside the toilet bowl ,also it's a appropriate size jet of water for precision washing.

@@vaskar1017 I used the electric bidets in Japan. Have you ever shot water from a hose onto mud, or poo? The material splatters. The water can splash poo onto other exposed parts of the body. The first time I used one, the pressure and temperature were too high so I made sure to enter lower settings before pressing the button.

@@deeya No, I was arguing the order of water vs. paper. The settings don't affect that order. You are certainly free to use whatever process you wish.
