Business executives often use English, rather than their own native language , to much sure "everyone is on the same page". This blunt type of outlining of who is to do what and why is used because saying the equivalent in their own language could be culturally inappropriate and impossibly rude.

I would not say it truns your personality, it just changes your tone to a softer one. I think that is becuase the Japanese sounds themselves are soft. Anyway, you are still the same person. That will not change just because you sound softer because of Japanese language.

Sometime ago I heard that learning a new language makes your brain function differently. I believe this is also true when you speak a different language. In particular, Japanese spoken by women makes their voices sound much softer and more feminine.

Many people code-switch their personalities/behavior when speaking a different language (though it might depend on which languages they are). My mother is quite prim and proper in English, but gets markedly more animated and rough when speaking Acadian French. And I code-switch exactly the same way this woman does between English and Japanese. It just feels natural somehow.
