I drove one of these during an "Experience" track day event and it kicks ass. Definitely a sweet German muscle car.

the 63 comes with Active Ride Control hydraulic suspension with active anti-roll bars and a front axle lift, active engine mounts and an electronically controlled LSD. 55 has steel springs and neither of those other things listed

This HAS to be the audi replacement. The luxury, the space, the performance, the daily driver practicality. It's got it all, so dope. Video you speccing it soon🙏🏻

I look on the other side of the fence and see a full parking lot of exactly that model in all colours with all kind of rims as a coupe or Convertible.. sipping my coffe and just thinking: „hell.. one day.. one day.. 🤣🤣🤣

This is one beautiful car inside out..but i prefer the front mid engine layout of the previous gen..wouldn't go black though...keep your naturally aspirated v10 r8

Nice looking car. Is that one of those that have some exhaust sound coming through the speakers? I would unplug that on day one. The ambient interior lighting looks nice in those cars at night.

Wow and I am hesitant buying a $4500 motorcycle. Wish I had no anxiety about spending money.

I do like the R8 but this is nice too, lovely interior and sounds great and 4 wheel drive is a plus. Perhaps it's time for a change. Do you need the 63 over the 55 though - save a few pennies. Depends what's different I guess.

What an awesome car. In answer to your question Jaret; yep, love both the car and bike reviews and definitely would buy the AMG GT63, if the budget allowed. For me, nothing has the level of pedigree and style the Mercedes GT series has, and I love the engine placement - it makes for an exciting car to drive. On this particular car, the wheels are faultless in appeal. The rear end is skillfully styled to be simultaneously tough and sleek. The wide grilled front end, just demands respect. While the interior makes you never want to leave the seat, and the engine note make you want to drive straight to the tunnel with the windows down.

They need to bring back the gull wing doors !! Then it would be sick , not a fan of the tail little too rounded but still a very sick car .

Differences between the 55 and 63 disappear, except for the tune/boost, when you have the performance package, which this one does. I have the SL55 and love it.

WHOA, This ride is mad sweet! The technology is hard to match and ohhhhhh the sound of the exhaust. Honestly tho, your R8 is still a killa of a ride and I bet it would be hard to let go, but if the numbers are right its alright!....LOLOL

The r8 is more driver focused but this is really impressive with a great blend of a sporty feel and luxury 👌🏾

I believe that Mercedes will differentiate the trims for the GT line like they did for the SL model. Now I could be wrong about this but it does seem likely since the cars are so similar with the SL of course being the convertible option. That being said I know that in regards to the SL63 it comes with carbon ceramic brakes as standard along with a stiffer chassis and suspension, in addition to of course the bump up in power and torque. I also believe that the SL 63 comes with 21" wheels and slightly wider tires as standard compared to the 20" on the 55. And I am sure that Mercedes has a few other subtle differences between the two to help justify the cost difference which rivals that of a 911 Turbo S. I hope that helps.

Super nice car. A beast when you want it to be but still practical and less likely to attract unwanted attention. I don't know the difference either between the 55 and 63 but maybe it's not worth it.

Ok, to my knowledge the 63's will be later in the year. As far as the rear seat. If you order the 4 seat version it will fold. I took delivery 2 weeks ago and had a fit that the back seat wouldn't fold. My dealer figured out how to fold it but you have to remove the seat part. Without the seat it's pretty ugly. So I made a replacement Alcantara bench. Yes they have active aero and lift. Don't be fooled, it's not your old man's car. It rides Hard. Harder than my 911. It scoots right along and flat turns on the on ramps. Great sound in Sport Plus/Race and you can program any combination of ride and shifting. Probably one of the best bang for the buck. I have had 20 plus years of 911s and anything I wanted to replace mine would be north of 200K probably 300K, so I went to the dark side..

The reason you still have silver lettering is because you got the Night-Package 1, but there is also a Night-Package 2, it comes with black lettering.

that new GT is BEAUTIFUL! It would be a difficult decision for sure!! However, I think your R8 will hold its value and possibly be worth a lot someday considering they discontinued it. Also, in my opinion, the Audi will age better since it doesn't have so much overcomplicating technology. Believe it or not, people still like physical buttons lol! Edit: How is your GLE? My family was thinking of getting a 2024 GLE580. Your opinion would be helpful! :)

I picked up the 2024 AMG GT53 4 door (murdered out) for my daily driver. It is maybe the best looking 4 door on the road. Having said that, this 2 door is absolute perfection.

Hate to see the R8 go. But, where you’re living right now it’s probably the completely wrong car. I love the AMG in black. But, that’s me. The 63 is probably amazing. But, is the extra $$ worth it? That said after 2023 model year; no more hemi engines from Dodge/RAM. So, V8s are disappearing fast. I’m not happy. Evs? Nope! Not even an electric lawn mower. This was a very interesting video. I think a few more of these would be fun.

You dont like near plate this 2 bumps, but in America you get sound, in Europe you can not get this sound, so car is very very good looking, very good sound and you need to buy it❤❤❤
