@@Jon-cw8bb The problem is that there are also cheats which give players only 0.025% more grip or something like that. Which can mean around 2 thents faster per lap. @Metahlz

@@Jon-cw8bb You can see throttle and brake inputs in the F1 games, so for what people are accusing Ronhaar of doing which is editing game files to give him a bit more extra grip leaving the apex into the exit it wouldn't matter unless he extremely fucks up and full throttles it out of a corner and doesn't oversteer at all. @@Metahlz Yea it depends on how consistent the game is from race to race. Trackmania physics are 100% deterministic, meaning x input = x result. If F1 2022 is also deterministic, even a .025% difference in grip would see the car go flying off track very quickly. But, knowing it's EA behind these games now, I doubt the game even stores such inputs let alone be deterministic.

straight from trackmania ahahah, it would be cool but idk if would actually work, trackmania is a deterministic game, f1 from what i know is not. on time trial maybe out of many simulations if output is legit and clean copy the results would be many similar runs with maybe one fully matching. even if it was possible (anyway i don't think so) the problem is that with a larger community they took years to extrapolate inputs from a 2008 game (TMNF) it would be impossible with F1 22

@@claxxz1 Trackmania approach unfortunately wouldn't work on F1 because of the physics as you said. But there's been a lot of... questionable stuff, specially in time trial. Two I can recall seeing people mention lately are him having the TT record at Suzuka by *a few tenths* even though the setups were identical to the person in 2nd place and there were corners in which his speeds were a lot faster than usual. The other one is him being ahead of a literal grip hacker (since the way they advertise is putting themeselves on top of the leaderboards). All in all, there's a lot of reasons to think why he might or might not be cheating, but only a check on his PC or a LAN tournament would put an end to this.

@@claxxz1 even if it isn't derteministic, a couple of simulations maybe 10, 20 or 50. Wouldn't that be enough to figure out: if the line is diffirent, the speed is diffirent, the delta is diffirent. Even if we cant have a grip meter or something like that if you would analyse the diffirences. Surely you would fine that something doest add up. This is ofcourse the tracmania approche but it worked on that game why not try it out. For example if someone goes 10mph faster in a corner you would immidietly see the diffirence in exit position( that is if the exact same buttons have been pressed). Idk they should just be more on top of this especialy in psgl and f1 esporsts
@claxxz1
@claxxz1 Жыл бұрын
@@K00bb3lSt00n yeah as i said in theory it's possible, out of many simulation you would notice when is legit or not, the problem is that i don't think taking inputs is that easy, it's not just like with the telemetry, i think It's way more difficult, also a tool to run external inputs should be created. In trackmania it works because the raw input are already stored into the replay file, in f1 there's no such thing, sure you have the telemetry but it wouldn't be as easy as the replay file.

@@RealPyro88 yeah, thats a phenomena in most things that are susceptible to cheating. if the suspect is good already the clues and evidence can be subtle and thin... @RealPyro88
@RealPyro88 Жыл бұрын
Its difficult because with your own pedals, wheels and software you build muscle memory. Alot of the drivers on this grid would be a lot slower when going from a loadcell pedal to a non loadcell pedal, or a different kg one. The same goes with the nm of the wheel and the way the force is applied (some drivers use simucube osw, some use fanatec still). This measure would solve cheating probably if it is done at LAN, but it could have consequences for the entire esports grid.

I´m not sure if the PSGL has the budget for my idea on how to 99% control online cheating, but I am 100% sure F1 E-Sports Teams have that budget. So let me explain it to you: Every driver gets an remote controlled PC on same specs, with no ON button, pre installed game and also the communication software the driver is using to communicate with his team during the race. Future updates could be done via remote control. They also get a new rig. The monitors, seat and headset is free to choose by the driver. Wheel, base, pedals are standardized (all same). The controls are directly connected with the pc and locked so that they can´t be disconnected without damaging the pc. So now the F1 E-Sports directive only has an access to the pc and can check the whole on/off log, if any other device tried to connect with the pc, if anything shady is going on with the pc. Controls can´t be manipulated and every testing session has to be video recorded with the view on the whole rig. Training times are all at the same time and they also have to be video recorded. If you can´t trust them, then you got to control them! Do you guys think this would help to keep the field even?

If someone built an AI that could copy the exact inputs from a telemetry in a TT-session and execute them itself, they would be able to see instantly if someone is using a third-party program to get better traction.
