Why build custom when I could buy one of the companies that makes these? Simple, none that I've seen will come close to the amount of things I'm fitting in mine. Best part is my Jeep (GHOST 3) will be my daily driver therefore I'll be able to remove these slides and use my truck as a truck when needed.

The 80/20 looks good. Nice job!! You've been workin' hard; time for a break. Love seeing the updates. I considered what you're doing; buying all the parts/appliances needed before getting the van. I was told I should trade in my Borrego to get a van. Decisions, decisions.

Getting it all right for sure. I'm building a platform slide pretty much close to done. Everybody thinks it's super easy. Then again a lot of people just order the kiys already made for them. A good thing takes a long time!

You are freezing in your shop because there is no weather stripping around your garage door, it is the same as leaving that window open 2 inches, 24/7. for about $20 you could save $100 on heating the air you are blowing out on the driveway and be warmer in the shop.

Im sure you like this idea, you can mix metals and stuff into your base coat of varnish to get some cool effects. Iron oxide n stuff, also bass boats have plastic confetti gilitter in their base paint.

Spent weeks researching 60" sliders for my garage. Ended up not doing sliders due to cost. Curious, which brand slider you chose and why.
@JarrodTocci
@JarrodTocci 3 жыл бұрын
I bought mine off my buddy Dave that is a van builder where I live. He was putting in a massive order for sliders with a big company so that was a big reason going through him because of price. As you know they are expensive! So for 2 sets of 58" locking slides I spent a little over $500. I'll have to get the brand from him and I'll talk about that in a future video. Thank you for the reminder

Humble Road is a great guy and again I'm not knocking anyone. In 2020 I was posting 2 videos per week plus a live stream. I'm now doing a lot more for my brand and business. On top of making these custom slides I'm getting back into my comedy (or attempting), still making videos, figuring out land permits and requirements for future ghost town, a e-book, consulting, and woodworking. I'm not saying Humble Road isn't doing all those things too but that's a lot for 1 person. Yes I did build my table and I was doing that sorta of woodworking even before vanlife 4 years ago. I'll end with I'd rather inspire and motivate over educate. Yes they all go together but doing a full extensive "how to" video takes about 10 times more work and dedication. Hence why I'm not knocking what Humble Road does. Honestly I'd rather do a more in-depth "how to" video on making epoxy tables. I guess it boils down to that some people are better at teaching then others too, and some are better at being a hype person. I think it's obvious on which I'm better at and I'll never take away anyone that is a teacher because we need them!

@@JarrodTocci Do you thing man. I appreciate your efforts. Love that you're working with 8020 now since I plan to use it. I learn regardless. Curious about your chop saw choice. Seems like others who use 8020 make a big deal about what saw and blade they use to cut their 8020. Have you noticed any issues with your particular chop saw?
@JarrodTocci
@JarrodTocci 3 жыл бұрын
@@orificium fantastic question!! So I do plan to upgrade my miter saw in the future, BUT for now I'm using a cordless Ryobi. More important is blade choice. They have blades marked for cutting different metals at the hardware store. It's not only blade but how to cut as well. With angle aluminum you want the angle pointed up. Also better if you get some wax for the blade too!!! And cut SLOW. Reason having a plug in miter or chop saw is better is because of RPM's and consistent power. How I'm doing it works but I'm very careful while cutting. My estimate is going through 2 blades during this build lol. Hope that helped

Multiple dimensions on it mate, 80/20 I think was named after a weird psychological principle I think? But it’s now synonymous with this specific profile. In the UK we can get it in a range from 20 x 20 to 45 x 45mm

You would get more heat if the heater was on floor
@JarrodTocci
@JarrodTocci 3 жыл бұрын
Someone else said that as well and of course I know that heat rises. However the tiny space heater is too small for the space so having it blow directly on me and my hands feels much better then trying to heat the space, if that makes sense
