Ghalib is the poetical surname of Asadullah Khan, the greatest poet of Urdu. He is the last of the great Delhi poets, and is the first of the great modern poets. He stands between two worlds. Trained in classical Persian and mystic philosophy, he also profited from the western influences and the spirit of Indian Renaissance. “He employed ‘heterogeneous ideas’ and ‘yoked them together with violence’ like the English Metaphysical poets. He towers above the hundreds and hundreds of Urdu poets like a ‘victor’ (Ghalib), as his pseudonym means.

شاعر سرشار حق عنوان ۔۔۔۔۔منتشر خیال خون دل آنکھ سے برستا ہے کوئی دیکھو برسنا آنکھوں کا کب دعائیں عرش پہ پہنچیں گی ایک دھڑکا سا مجھ کو رہتا ہے راہ میں پڑا میں پتھر ہوں ٹھوکروں نے مجھے تراشہ ہے یہ جو ظلمت ہے میرے چہرے پر تلخیوں نے اسے بگاڑا ہے جلتی مٹی میں روح پھونکی تھی یوں میرا نفس بھی بنایا تھا جانے یزداں کو کیا اداسی ہے دوڑے جاتے ہیں سب ہی ملنے کو کچھ تو ہو گا سبب یوں زلت کا زندگی بے سبب نہیں ہوتی ایک لمحہ خلوص نیت کا فضل اسکا برسنے لگتا ہے

The gentleman to the right of Shri Naseeruddin Shah interjects with his 'Wah'-praise at little notice, as if the narration is meant for him only. If he had not done it, perhaps, the silence, otherwise, could have induced Naseerbhai to give simple hindustani translation of what he was narrating (in Urdu), to facilitate a wholesome understanding of the general viewer. No doubt, the audience, present at the narration, appear to have a good grasp of it, but what about the general viewer of the video? Shri Naseerbhai , and even Jashn-e-Rekhta appear to be oblvious of this aspect.
